SFGAM Fright Fest 10/28/07 w/kids

Let us know how your day at the park was.

To close out the season, we decided to take the kids to their first fright fest! We were one of the first few cars into the lot, qued up and entered the park going counterclock wise. While we were waiting for 10 o'clock, and employee came up with a tombstone that read R.I.P 2001-2007. I over heard him explain that it was going to be put up near Deja Vu.

Once we got in the family went to the Whizzer, while I lined up for a Flash pass...only to find out they were having computer problems. After the Whizzer the family met me, and my wife and I swapped out so I could take the kids to the Demon. We got the front car of the black train, managed not to get any concussions in the corkscrew, and by the time we got back my wife had our flash pass. (They had problems because of daylight savings time being moved to 11/04!)

Besides our $10 coupon, they gave us another $5 off for making us wait! Very nice.

The rest of our day was pretty uneventful, we took the kids through Necropolis during the day (our youngest is only 6). One of the "living trees" got them pretty good, but they were laughing shortly after. The pirates near Batman were doing a pretty good job on some of the teenage girls in the area!

My only complaints during the day? Looney tune lodge (which our 6 year old loves) was closed? Also, they were looking forward to seeing the trolls, but everytime we were over there they were no where to be found.

We didn't make it on Deja Vu (it wasn't using the Flash pass and it seemed unfailr to make the 6 year old wait that long), but from what I saw it looked like it ran most of the day. We finished up with LAFF (the last show), and a final ride on Raging Bull. That was SO cold at the end of the night, but fun.

We're all kind of dead today, but I think everyone had a good time and we're all looking forward to season passes next year!

I'll comment on this for ya! :D

Sounds like a nice night with the family, glad you had a nice time. Oh, and next time you are in Loony Tunes Lodge, say hi to it for me, cause i'm apparently too big to go in anymore. It's too bad that wasn't open.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(
