Intamin 4D

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

Do you think that more parks will get a 4D coaster now that Intamin is making them? And do you think Intamin will build one with inversions?

the intamin 4d or ball coaster is at a pretty small concept right now. They make them very condensed "piled"...

Id much rather see morre Eejanaikas/Xs out here in the U.S.

I dont believe the Intamin ball coaster is capable of inversions unless they do the track just right. The cars are free spinning, like ferris wheel cars, they will have a tendancy to self-right.

I kinda like how the intamin 4d sort of looks like a Screamin Squirrel. But yea, S&S make the far superior coaster right now.

Wow, that picture from the first link makes that ride look crazy! Talk about one crazy coaster for any park with tight space issues.... wasn't there another kind of flipping coaster out there? I could have sworn it looked like a giant tree log or something for a vehicle....FParker?! :P

^I know what you're talking about.
I could have sworn it was a Screamin Squirrel, but I did'nt find anything for it.

I personally don't see the Intamin Ball Coaster being succesful in any big upscale parks. I could see it as maybe an upcharge attraction?

you might be talking about Sequoia Adventure at Gardaland in Italy.

^no, i know what that one is. It's a coaster with a long vehicle like Raging Bull, i know it's overseas and i know it looked like a giant log/lumberjack ride (the vehicle did, the track is normal), i'm gonna have to see if I can find it...

A HUGE thing about this was posted on Screamscape.

At the bottom of the page they have a video.

The ride is extremely short.

Furios Baco (picture above) has major problems and is currently closed for the remainder of the season.

Foundation problems

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

hrmm, that's a new one, usually it's issues with the supports rather than the foundation. If not that then it's electrical issues. V2 @ SFGAm (well most of the impulses) have been lucky enough to have both issues, Intamin must have designed the ride on a 2for Tuesday.
