Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

^No, and it's a shame cause it looks cool

It would be easy to theme this ride around a fire and/or to allow some water fighting to go on during it....

You know, the perfect 10 comment could also be applied to the 11am announcement...ironic, I THINK NOT 8)

damn you beat me to it haha...its cool...

but in a way no its not cause Im disappointed in it. I was expecting something a lttle different from Intamin after Stormrunner. It is a cool ride but its only based on that first drop really. After that it has a few inversions. I figured theyd at least beat the record for that....

its a nice addition to the lineup, looks fun, just a little disappointing.

I knew that the drop was going to be more than vertical. Doesn't look as good as Maverick though.

Sorry to correct myself so soon...but...is this really all that different from Storm Runner?

I mean essentially it's just Storm Runner, minus the launch, plus a vertical drop. It looks like a really short layout, which is what is making me think this way. It's just a bunch of packed inversions.

I can't judge it before I ride it...

Yeah, i really don't think it looks that great. Its bascially a combo of SR and Maverick but a hell of a lot shorter. Why is this? Is it me, or does it seem like lately all of the coasters that are coming out have been really, really short? I mean really, this big huge announcment and then, oh, its only 90 sec. long. Really, what happened to when a coaster came out, it was something huge and exciting?????

it has potential, it has to perform for me though... cause right now, I'm kind of disappointed in the design, as well. I was hoping to see something better from Intamin.

I think it looks pretty cool. This gives me more of a reason to go to Hersheypark next year.

material prices go up, economy goes down, people spend less money, parks spend less money = shorter rides

That first inversion just looks unbelieveable, I must ride it! Not to mention, I dig 90+ degree drops. This looks like it's more focused on Inversions than air, whereas Maverick focused on air and speed...let's see if Fahrenheit is just as good!

Well, i join the club of those dissappointed in this ride. The first loop (similar to SUF's pretzel) and the drop are the only parts that look good. Which is fine and all, but they already have Storm Runner. There seems to be no theming or anything to even name it Fahreinheit...

I still think they could have gotten the "vertical style drop" from a dive machine that sprayed water to Roller Soaker's area, but whatever, it's a new coaster, i'm sure it'll be good like Storm Runner, i just wish it was something original.

Ok...I found this really interesting...

If you look here:
http://www.hersheypark.com/fahrenheit/index.php
& look at the computer gen. image of the coaster & the vids it shows one of the overbanked turns under the lift/drop tower. however in the webcam it shows the bank goin around the lift....

just found it weird is all. Oh & constructions movin along ok. the drop looks nice.

Construction is farther than I thought. It loooks like it'll be a great ride. I wish I would be able to get out there this coming Summer.

Coasters with more than vertical first drops must be the new thing. Just in 2007-2008 we got Maverick, Steel Hawg, and Fahrenheit. Fine by me!

I guess to me it just seems like there has been a recent boom. Sure, Gerstlauer has been doing it for awhile, but not a bunch at one time.

For those of you who haven't seen it in a while, Fahrenheit has really progressed

the norwegian loop is practically done
the inverted s rolls are complete
and there are new videos (new to me) of the construction along with some interviews and such

It's all here

If i had known this was being built, I would have held off my visit to HP another 2 years! :x

EDIT: The whole coaster is done except for the second half of the cobra roll
that can be seen here

it's a lot more compact than i thought

That loop is a LOT bigger than i thought it would be....i'm still not all that enthuised over it (since in my opinion, it should have been called Storm Runner 2), but glad to see them progressing nicely.
