Do you think it would be fun to work at SFGAm? I would love operating the rides but I guess they don't pay much.

I live almost 90 mins away and I'm going to try to work there. How much do they pay and how old do you have to be and what's the benefits?

Yes they still offer housing.

If I remember correctly it was around $76 a week or so for that housing.... I might be wrong though.

^wow, if you worked full time that would be almost half of your check. But I guess just living there would make it worth it.

I live 60 minutes away but i'm going to try to work their next year. This year they had a bus from cumberland station which is only 30 minutes away from my house.

General Housing- they have it (i don't know the quality cause i don't need it)
Ride ops- 16
auditions- 16 and a cold read along with coriaugraphy for shows
pay rate- varies but really cannot be discussed
benefits- free addmission for yourself and friends, select employee days, food and merchendise discounts.... and tons others
other info- if you plan to work at FF, you either cant work during the summer, or have to get a hard to get permission slip to do both. If you do get a job.... you have 6 minutes to get to your station. If your clock in is at 9, then you have to get there ate 8:54 to get to your STATION by 9.

They do have employee housing avalible at University of Wisconsin Parkside and at a local veterans hospital on Buckley Road with busing to the park, however this is for mostly international employees I dont know of many American employees that use it.
If you live near Chicago or Kenosha there are busses for employees however the hours are reduced from what most people work. I know for the Chicago bus the work hours are only 10-7, not sure about Kenosha.

I believe it starts at $7.50/hour now, there are definitley possibility of promotions in rides for hard working/competent employees after a year or so of work. You can work basically as long as you want, though if you go into a job fair over the winter and say "I have to leave a month after we open" your not gonna get hired, but if your there for the majority of the season you will. You have to be 16 to be a ride operator or 18 to be in maintenence.

I can't work during the summer because of summer school and can't work during FF due to me being in Missouri for school. So it really bites for me.

Pay starts at $7.50 but for the first 100 hours you are on a probationary period where your pay is $7.00

If you are under 16 pay rates are not guaranteed.

In order to work as Ride Op. you must be 16 years of age. The pay rate is: 7.50. As for your first year, you don't get to pick a ride, they do it for you. If you come back the next year, then you can pick 3 units you would want to work on; from the most to least wanted. Working at Six Flags is like getting trained everyday, you learn something new everyday, you have a chance to deal with guests; that way you can build your guest service skills. You will make tons of great friends. You will get rewarded for great work. As a SF cast member, you can go to park for free, anytime you are not scheduled to work, and you can take a buddy in, for free. You will recieve food coupons, free tickets, 50% off all merchandise. you can visit other SF parks for free, with ur buddy. Pre-view nights. Coaster After Dark for cast members. Free food days inside the park., and lots and lots of great stuff.

For those who want to work at Six Flags: this is from me -> You have to be dedicated to your work, you will have to try not to stack trains. You must know what means "cleaning", and how to do it. You must be creative, and show high customer service. :-);-)
