My friends Bri, Maggie, and I left Woodridge just a little before 5pm. We didnt arrive to Sandusky until 1am their time about seeing their an hour ahead. I told my friend "I see Dragster, I see it..." Both the girls were like whatever..."were lost"..and you dont see anything. Soon were on this eerie road with houses to the left and rocks & water to the right in pure darkness. Now all of us saw the park ahead of us and to the right. Then it vanished beneath the trees. All of the sudden its in front of us and a little to the left. It disappeared again...& then BAM! somehow we ended up in the parking lot of cedar point...? So long story short, we took Cedarpoint dr. all the way down and to Breakers Express. Got there, bought tickets in advanced and was all set for a glorious day....so I thought.
I was so drn excited that Jimmy got a wonderful hour of sleep. Right when that alarm hit 7am, I was wide awake. So Around 8 15am we arrive at the entry gates and literally had to wait for 9am exactly so we could say the national anthem. I didnt know they did that & I assumed theyd let us in at least 10minutes earlier...but we know what they say about assuming things.

So were on our way to Maverick and everyone who made it there first started haeadin' back claiming it broke. So Millenium was right there so we rode that. Ill tell ya, not as great as I remembered. Still wonderfully good but yeah. The front was alot better with airtime though, but to me, the coaster has a good drop and a good finale. Every twist and turn in the middle feels slow rough and too long. Thats my opinion, Im not sayin its bad. So As the day went on we rode everything but Dragster, Maverick, Wildact and Iron dragon. Cedar Point has what I think is a new rule about rain. All rides must wait one hour after rainfall stops to start testing/rideing again. Maybe due to the Magnum accident a bit back? So it rained a couple time, more like drizzled, so we waited alot.
Well it all started with maggie when we decided to ride Mantis. This was the longest line we had waited for yet with an hour waiting time. She just got tired or somethin'. Her expressions were "expressionless" and she just looked bad. So we rode it, and damn my legs felt heavy like I had ran a marathon. Dont remember that either. We got off and headed to the railroad so we could all sit on our hineys for a bit and pass Maverick up close. That was the plan. Well as were waiting for the train I sit down and Bri mumbles to me "shes crying"...what? were at cedarpoint! ugh...shes crying?
so I ask her and she said she wasnt. Well then kaboom! Insta-drama. She went off at me saying she didnt know we were gonna be there for two days and she said she was leaving for college soon so she just plainly wanted to be home now! she wanted to be in the hotel and never come back in the park. Wow. i didnt know what to do. So with the help of Bri, she said wed leave the park early that day, and stay all day the next so mags could rest. So we went back to breakers and let maggie sleep.Bri & I went to The East of Chicago pizza buffet, which was actually really good.
So now for the "icing on the cake"...we wake up for day two. Everyone had to pack up so we could checkout and get in early. Well were all ready to go get breakfast at McDonalds and then go...Mags just blurted out "can you actually take me to the bus station...its like 10min away..?" So I was ticked while we were driving her. She honestly was begging for us to take her in a way. She said she called her mom to arrange the bus ticket to come home early. So we took her. I didnt feel right at all but we did it. I felt sick. So later that night I called to make sure she got home ok, but she hung up on me...whatever.
Now Since I have bored you with all this drama stuff, Ill list some perks about the trip and Maverick reviews.
We rode every coaster there, well not the kiddie ones but you know...my opinions are as follows after returning this year about a few coasters...
Disaster Transport- No 3d-ness this year. Only pitch black. Kinda disappointed.
Mantis- hurt my legs this time around. That trim on the first hill is a no no. You really feel it, which takes away speed. Dont remember that.
Millenium Force- already explained above ^
Raptor- Forgot how intense it was. I purchased the OnRide DVD which was a neat new addition. I dont remeber this so its gotta be new. Now as if it was worth $19.99..? but its still cool.
Topthrill- I rode it in front row this year...damn, much better. The anticipation never gets easier with this ride. It still scares me. The launch just doesnt feel real. Its so powerful.
Maverick.....Oh my @#%&! mmm. My new favorite. The front is the best row, trust me. I know everyone has their own opinion, but I dont see how anyone would find flaw in this coaster. You may but who knows. This ride is everything I ever dreamt about and wanted in a coaster. Now its not that tall or fast, we know this, but it makes up. First off I was surprised by the seats. They were actually more comfortable than Millie or Dragster. I liked them alot actually. The lift has you goin' right away. Its so quick. When you look at Maverick, It really doesnt appear to go past vertical at all honestly...but that drop is my favorite drop anywhere. I felt like as I was falling straight down, someone pushed me away. You feel that 95degrees. UGH! aah. I love it. eh sorry

The tunnel is a pretty neat effect to be honest as well. You enter and it slows you down for, meh a second, haha. But the lights are flickering and then you are just plastered. Its so powerful. The lights flash and then burst into such a bright blue streak that it throws you off track. So when you fly out of the tunnel o the left it feels like you were thrown. I dont even know. The turn over water is nice too. I enjoyed the water effects as it went down the track. The S-curve is actually smoother than /i expected. The speed throughout this whole ride never ends. Incredible. Then in a flash youre on your side to the right then on your head during the amazing stengal dive. you drop, fly over the next airtime hill which delivers its name, and then a sudden twist to the brakes. I screamed OMG over and over...just saying wow & cheerin' up a storm. I loved it loved it loved it! I bought the on ride photo, a t-shirt, and the souvenior cup. Im a lttle obsessed. I also love that the track makes this odd humming noise as it rattles you. I do like that it is also somewhat rough as well. It is just incredible. I even ate a nice mouthful of bugs at night...ew. haha.
We may have had a big flop in one day, but honestly it was all worth it. Maverick is a wonderful addition. We left the park around 11pm and headed home. After a few rest stops We were back in Woodrige by 9 30am when I forgot that I was goin to Sixflags on Friday with mom...aww.

Sorry for this being so long and so boring...thanks for reading.[/list]
