Bears have a 2-0 record going in the pre-season despite Rex Grossman's utterly embarrassing performance last Mon night. Bears take on the 49'ers tonight at 7pm on Ch5 (NBC in case your cable/satellite assigns funny numbers). And just a hair more than 2 weeks til the Regular season starts and the Bears can start kicking ass against the Chargers in the season opener.

I'd say sit him one game and let Griese go and have Grossman realize that his job as QB isn't going to be there if he keeps this crappy play up.

By the way, I have never seen so many fights at the game before than today, one of the Cowboys fan was taken out on a stretcher.

I agree they should sit him, but I don't think they should give up on him.

There really isn't much of a future at all with Griese. It will only be a matter of time before he sucks it up as well and everbody starts calling for Orton.

Because that's what happens in Chicago, same cycle over and over again.

well yeah, Griese would be a band aid, but it may be time for a trade this off season and see if they have better luck with someone else, rookie or otherwise. The Bears investment is not paying off and doesn't look like it will pay off anytime in the near future either.

Whatever happened to Orton!?!??! Has he even lost an NFL game yet in his career? I think Rex Grossman is going down the same path as Joey Harrington....nowhere. People will never give up on him because of his occasional good games, but overall he's a crappy quarterback.

Now Brett Favre on the other hand.

I believe Orton played the entire 05 season when Grossman was injured and he was 2'nd string, the went 11-5 and made it to the playoff's due to an uber crappy NFC Central and the Bears awesome defense, then Grossman came back for the playoff game, he played good but they still lost the game to the Carolina Panthers.

As of right now Orton is still 3'rd string on the bears, at least for right this second.

I'd never want to see Orton in the game again, I remember his last game, he threw the ball pretty much 10 rows into the crowd when he had an open receiver in the corner of the endzone. What a waste of space he is, I'd rather have Grossman anyday over Orton.
