WDW - Mickey's Birthday Spectular Trip (8-16)

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby Danhockey04 on August 17th, 2007, 12:11 am
It all started at 7:45 am in EPCOT. We got in the lot through the employee entrance and were the only ones there until the lot opened at 8. We stood at the cast members entrance and then got our tickets and headed into the park to the chain. We would then head over to the greatest ride ever, Soarin. After that, got on Test Track in 5 minutes and rode Mission: SPACE as well. We would finish at EPCOT at 12:00 to go to MK after we would eat in the UK with the amazing fish and chips.

EPCOT part 1:
2 Test Track
1 Figment
1 Mission SPACE
1 Soarin'
1 Maelstrom

Then we would go to MK, park at the Polynesian and take the monorail there. We got in the park and headed to Splash Mountain and got our first and only fast passes. We then went on Pirates, fun as always; however we got the best thing ever after, DOLE WHIP! Then headed over to Space Mountain and rode some rides around MK for a few hours. In case you didn't know, Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth are closed currently.

MK part 1:
1 Space Mountain
1 Splash Mountain
1 Big Thunder Mountain
1 Philarmagic
1 Pirates
1 People Mover

We left MK around 3:00ish and went to Animal Kingdom to ride Everest and Dinosaur and get out of there. Both short lines and got out of there quick.

DAK:
1 Expedition Everest
1 Dinosaur

Then going back to EPCOT so we can eat and ride a few more rides and watch Illuminations. We would eat at China and get some of the great orange chicken. Also, here we would get my birthday button because it looked awesome and was cool getting birthday wishes from some of the employees. Then Illuminations has changed quite a bit since June, much of the newer show's effects are appearing.

EPCOT part 2:
1 Test Track
1 Mission SPACE
1 Nemo
1 Gran Fiesta Tour de Mexico

Finally, it is 9:30 and we are getting into MK to end the long day. As we get in, I get more heavenly food of DOLE WHIP! So amazing! We would ride a few more rides while Wishes is going on. The day would end at Space Mountain.

MK part 2:
1 Splash Mountain
1 Small World
1 Space Mountain

For being a rather crowded day in middle August the week before schools get back, we got quite a bit of rides in for being a free visit. Can't beat that deal.

Seems like a very ideal trip....

Except...

No visits to Tower of Terror? For shame.

And a major bummer about The Haunted Mansion.

Great that you did all that in one day, though.

Everyone's got a laughing place.
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.

Soarin is a great ride!!! I just wish they had a different movie than the one they use at DL.

Glad you had a great visit
