WI State Fair starts tomorrow. They seem to have the same provider that they have had the past 3 or 4 years now. Murphy Bros maybe? I don't know I'm not into that much but I thought I'd let everyone know. Lots of rides for a 15 dollar wristband.

Yeah, I love the State Fair. Kamikaze is my favorite ride there. For those of you who've never been there and also never heard of that ride, do you remember Power Dive? It's sort of like that in that it swings a full 360 degrees eventually, but I think it goes higher and there are two ships swinging side by side. Also, depending on which side of the ship you ride, you'll face a certain way and the first time you go upside down it may be going backwards or forwards for you. It's the thrill of the unknown. :D

Sorry for the double post (kinda), but I last posted yesterday and I found out today I'll be able to go. Yeah, FYI for all the people that know I have no money and no car, I am going with someone and they will pay. It's my mom, because she likes to look at the animals. It's a compromise. I don't really mind looking at animals, but it gets boring after a while and then I can't wait to go to midway. Anyway, also she is terrified of most of the rides there, so I end up going on alone, but hey, I've been to GAm alone, when I used to stay at a hotel right across the street and walk there when my dad wasn't feeling up to driving me, so it's no big deal to me. As long as I get to ride my beloved Kamikaze! So yeah, we look at the animals for her and then I get to go to midway and stuff, so it works out. I'll probably put up a TR of it later.

Hmm, Spectacular Midways is coming back to Oak Forest soon. I probably won't go though, I dunno.

August 9 - August 12, 2007 St. Gerald's; Oak Forest, IL

I wanna go to the WI State Fair so bad. I wish they had Star Force there though. I rode that ride years ago at a local carnival and loved it.

After seeing the pictures I think they may have had Space Roller at the fair last year as well, cause I rode something just like it and thought it was the best ride at the fair.

Just found out it's not a KMG freak out at Wisconsin State Fair this year, but the second Technical Park Street Fighter in the US (was the first of 5 new ones this year in the US), supposed to be pretty good, never ridden one myself, need to get there this week and have me a ride, they are all the rage in Europe with over 40 of them there.

Anyone who knows of any upcoming carnivals with any of the following rides:

-Chaos
-Spin Out
-Freak Out

Please post :)

P.S. I miss the Murphy Brothers. Ugh, I would love to ride the Space Roller too. Never been on one of those.

Space Roller is currently set up at the OH state fair, after that it will be at the MN state fair in Minneapolis during Labor Day week.

There is currently a Chaos at the IN state fair, Spinout was at WI state fair that ended today, Freak Out not to sure about, I hear there is one in Southern Wisconsin not sure who owns it though. There are also a few freak outs in Michigan last I heard with Playworld and a few others. There is a KMG Afterburner though at the IN state fair. Hope this helps at least alittle

^yeah, there was a spin out at the fair. Though it sucked because it kept getting stuck upsidown. The ride gondola would stop spinning but the arm kept going upsidown. When we were on it, the ride just stopped and it took almost 2 mins for it to level out.

it's bearing is just about shot it sounds like, those have a habbit of getting stuck upsidedown, and that's when the fire department has to be called. I'm suprised anyone still carries one.

Yeah the Spin Out rides are kind of dumb design wise. Because if there is a problem, the whole ride will just be stopped upsidown. And there is only one side where the arm can get balanced out and level out. Which was what happened to us. All of a sudden the gondola stopped spinning and we were going slower. All of a sudden the carnie came out and and was just pointing at something. Then everything stopped and we slowly leveled out right side up. Then they made a quick test run and opened it back up.

But what do they do when they call the fire department?

The Bolingbrook Jubliee fair WAS supposed to go until tonight, but they closed it up early due to rain and flooding. The only ride worth mentioning is the Zipper.
