Isn't the one in St. Louis a power drop ride, like Power Tower at Cedar Point? Because if it is, they probably didn't even close it. Power Tower never closed.

STOP at SFStL is an exact clone of out Giant Drop, and it's been reported that something is being modifyed on it and it will reopen eventually, but it's unknown exactly when.

Most likely, what happened is Six Flags developed some type of fix for the ride and then they installed it on Giant Drop first to see if it works. Now that they know that it works and is running. Theses same fixes will be applied to the other Drop towers at Six Flags parks.
for Drop Zone at Kings Island there was a press release about it a week or so ago, it was recieveing some upgrades not necessarily related to the accident at SFKK, and it should be open again by now. (the article mentioned that SOB was closed for some more tweaking and Drop Zone remained closed but both would reopen within a few days, and that was about a week ago)
