1-18-08 trailer now up on Apple

A Off-Topic forum to discuss things that aren't related to the Amusement Park Industry.

For anybody who has seen the Transformers movie, probably saw the trailer for the untitled J.J. Abrams. It has yet to have a title, but thanks to a little internet research by chiatrain, it is going by the title of Cloverfield. It is super secret project, so not much is known about it.

Apple now has the trailer up. http://www.apple.com/trailers/paramount/11808/

This movie looks great. Rumors has it being a giant monster movie, but Voltron seems to have been debunked as being the monster.

More info can be found here. http://1-18-08.livejournal.com/

Website. (Not much to it) http://www.1-18-08.com/

Seemed like another Godzilla....

What a weird trailer, too. Saw it today before Transformers. Voltron, eh?

According to Ain't It Cool News and JJ Abrams himself, there are other sites out there on the web for us to discover to have any real clue about this film.

Seemed like War of the Worlds two if you ask me, just couldn't get anyone beautiful for the lead.

But I'll say one thing, HD trailers are glorious.

Considering the fact that what it looks like the main character is having a going away party, And the one guy on the camera says "It sucks that he has to go to Japan."

Seems to point to a Godzilla movie of some sort.

In the preview, one of the characters (I believe Rob) is wearing a Slusho t-shirt. Funny, one of the many titles the movie is said to be going by is called Slusho.

http://slusho.jp/

I read the history of Slusho, and there might be clues within. I am going to look at all the little things on the walls, and so forth to see if there are any other clues in the trailer.

The Fact that that Slusho site mentioned that there was some deep sea ingredient that made the Slusho better or whatever. Means that this movie could be about some Sea Monster?

I e-mailed that Slusho site telling them how much I liked their product. It will be interesting what, if anything, I get in return.

1-18-08.com and Slusho.jp seem to be the first two of the who knows how many hidden websites there are about this movie.

EDIT: I got an autoreply, and all it says is "Slusho! loves your mails!! You Can't Drink Just Six!!!"

Now I haven't played it in a long time, but if I remember correctly, didn't the monsters from the videogame Rampage get like that from drinking a softdrink from a lab? A poster over at IMDB brought that up, and now that I think about it, this could be a movie version of the game Rampage.

^Haha on N64 it was this purple sludge waste stuff that was always in big oozing barrels, and made them turn into the big purple flying monster.

Teaser poster....

J.J. Abrams from Comic-Con..

“I want a monster movie, I've wanted one for so long. I was in Japan with my son and all he wanted to do is go to toy stores. And we saw all these Godzilla toys, and I thought, we need our own monster, and not King Kong, King Kong's adorable. I wanted something that was just insane and intense. It's almost done shooting and I watch dailies and I'm more excited for them than the trailer, which has had an overwhelming response. We have 6 months before this comes out. We're going to have a whole bunch of things, a whole bunch more." He said a full trailer, more clips, full posters, and much more will be coming out over the next 6 monts, including the name, which he will NOT reveal today.

Just watched the trailer for this, and it looks like it's going to be a great movie. I love the fact that it's a POV.

There has been some really cool stuff to come this week.

First there is a news story about the destruction of a Japanese drilling rig in the Atlantic. Was it drilling for oil, or drilling for Slusho's key ingrediant, Seabed Nectar?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfTWm1nCgLc&eurl

The incident is being coined an environmental disaster as a large deep sea oil rig collapsed in the Atlantic Ocean days ago. With over 300 workers at the rig many are still missing and there has been little information as to what caused such a devastating accident.

Listen carefully at 2:10 - 2:11, and it will give you an idea as to what caused the rig to sink.

Second, search Jamie, and Teddy video on Youtube. It is related to Cloverfield.
