I've seen all three of the trilogy enders the past 3 weekends. Here's a little bit of each.
Spidey 3 - Yes and no. Spidey goes emo for way too long in this movie and Peter Parker just isn't himself for too much of the movie. It got long for me but some of the fight scenes were amazing no doubt. Good enough to see in theaters.
Shrek 3 - It deserves the Shrek name, but it felt rushed. It seemed like there were parts that the writers could have gone off on, but didn't. The ending was a bit abrupt and I just left the theater wanting more. Good jokes as always but the movie needs more than that.
Pirates 3 - Pirates 2 disappointed me more than anything last year, but this movie was a step back in the right direction. Fight scenes were incredible, but not even what stuck out in my mind. Lets just say the first time you see Johnny Depp in this movie is some of the weirdest funniest stuff in any of the Pirates movies. I am also happy to report that they are using new jokes again, not just reusing old jokes from the 1st movie again. (Like the 2nd movie.)
Of the 3 movies I saw, Pirates was my favorite, followed by Shrek, and followed last by Spidey. But they were all decent.

Pirates 3 was pretty sweet. The visuals were amazing, fight scenes were great, and it was pretty funny.
However, sometimes the plot was difficult to follow and some moments would drag on and I would find myself zoning off. Also, at times it was difficult to understand some characters' accents. And really the movie did not need to be that long.
Shrek 3: I thought it was the best of the three in terms of humor...that is, if you are intellegent and observant enough to catch it. However, since i hated the second and thought the first was just okay, i guess i'm not the best judge. 4/5
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
I really enjoyed Hostel Part II. Eli Roth shows promise for being a great horror writer/director. I loved Cabin Fever even through all of it's campyness. Hostel I was a little disappointed in. It was pretty much a soft core porn mixed with a gory ending. By the end, you think the characters are assholes and don't care if they die.
Hostel II was very different. It made that sick unsettling idea and made it better. It brought you into the world of the people who are sick enough to kill these other people. It was funny and sickening and scary. I loved it. Had a blast and can't wait for Eli Roth to conquer Stephen King with "Cell".

Man do I love the Die Hard series. After the first 10 minutes, the movie is pretty much non-stop kick a** action. Bruce Willis, and Justin Long work well together, and Olyphant is pretty good as the main villian, but not as good as Hans Gruber from the original, or Simon from Die Hard with a Vengence. The only problem with LFODH, is that at times you can see where the audio has been dubbed to cover up some foul langauge to keep it at PG-13, other than that, its carnage galor as McClane tries to stop terrorists, or as the case in any Die Hard movie, thiefs, from causing major havoc to the countries computer systems.
LFODH is your typical summer popcorn flick that delivers on everything, action, McClanes one-liners, cop must excort computer wiz kid to Washington D.C., etc, etc. Oh, and not to mention a great fight scene in an elevator shaft between McClane, and the extremly smoking hot Maggie Q.
And for those of you who may be curious if McClanes now famous Yippee-Ki-Yay ************ is there. Yes, but done so that the movie stays away from the R rating.
4/5
As I rank them...
Die Hard
Die Hard with a Vengence
Live Free or Die Hard
Die Hard 2: Die Harder
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.
Shrek 3 I liked it I thought it was cute and the jokes were really funny I think it was better then the first two. I saw it twice. 5/5
Surf's up Hysterical. I loved that movie. The fire urchin is my favorite in that movie. Yes it's another penguin movie but it was cute. I saw that twice. 5/5
Evan Almighty Very good movie. Steve Carell (sp) is so freaking hysterical and Wanda Sykes is a great actress. I loved that movie. I'd recommend that movie. 5/5
I just saw Transformers this evening. It's "more than meets the eye". The film clocks in at nearly 2.5 hours, but the time did fly by. The crowd was very into the film. There were some great action scenes between the Autobots and the Decepticons.
Of course, most of the acting wasn't the best, but there were definitely a lot of comedic moments spread throughout the entire film. I'll probably catch the film again next week when it opens.

I can't wait to check it out. Transformers is another movie on my must see this summer list.
Ratatouille : I don't know how Pixar keeps pumping out great movies. Saw this last night at the new Stratford Square movie complex with tickets my daughter won in a Radio Disney contest. While it doesn't take my top spot for Pixar movies, its pretty close. If your a fan of Pixar movies, check this one out. It has its moments.
The next Pixar movie will be called Wall-E, and its about a robot.
8/10
My ranked Pixar movies:
Monsters Inc
The Incredibles
Cars
Toy Story
Finding Nemo
Ratatouille
Toy Story 2
A Bugs Life

^The Incredibles is my favorite Pixar film and Brad Bird directed this and Iron Giant (which is also amazing). I can't wait to see how he did this new one and to see how it stacks up to the other two.

Ratatouille Just got done seeing it. I thought it was really cute. My favorite would have to be Monster's Inc and then Cars then Incredibles then Nemo and etc. But I think Pixar did a great job with this movie. I would go see it again. 9/10
cowboy1192 wrote:I just saw Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer. Very good movie! Much better than the first one. Had more action and a little bit of comedy!
I want to see that. Can't wait.

Jessica Alba looked amazing!
Doesn't she always?
Hee hee, look. I have a signature thingy um, thing.
Nancy Drew Eh it was ok. Some funny parts in it. Could have been better. I find Ratatouille better then this. I don't know if anyone else saw it but I wouldn't recommend it. I give it 5/10
Dead Silence I just finished watching it. It isn't the best horror movie I've ever seen, but it was neat how they made it seem like a classic horror movie. It also resembled the Saw seires a lot; not with the gore, but with the ending. It had a traditional Saw ending, with the flashback and the headslapping where you go "OHHHHH, that's why..."
Lt. John Mclane is back for the 4th installment of the Die Hard series. When a group of Cyber Terrorists cause havoc across the US around the 4th of July holiday "an analog Mclane in a digital world" Looks to save the nation once again.
Now If you've seen the first 3 Die Hard movies, This one is definately the best. As a big fan of this series, I loved the mix of sarcastic Bruce Willis lines with explosive Hollywood Action.
Although some of the action squences are far fetched.
The Plot lines are very believable based on a cyber terrorist attack on the nations weak infastructure.
As a big fan of Willis and this movie series I loved this movie. so to have an unbiased opinion. My G/F whose not seen the Die Hard films before said that while the movie was kinda long (close to 2:30 hours) This was definately a good movie.
