Astroworld rides? That place is long gone and the rides have been either relocated, put in storage, or torn down for good. Texas Cyclone was even being given away for free. Only catch was you had to have it taken down in a week and moved out of the area.
As for SFNO, I know their BTR is gone and it's been relocated (I think). The rest of the park was damaged so bad it probably won't re-open.
Ultra Twister from SFAW ended up at SFA though it has since been deemed unusable and will be scrapped.
Serial Thriller from SFAW was sent to Great Escape and will likely be installed in the near future.
Batman from SFAW was sent to Darien Lake and was included in the sale of the park though I believe the new owners say it's no longer usable and they dont plan on installing it.
Flat rides were dispursed throughout the SF chain with SWAT and the Spinning Rapids going to SFNE and the Troika going to SFOT, no idea where other stuff went.
SFNO's Batman was dismantled and is in storage somewhere, other than they they have not touched the park and they have made clear to the city they have no intention of reopening the park, lawsuits are pending.

yeah, Houston was/is a hole, though the new coaster at Kemah looks neat, Fiesta is in my opinion the best SF park, at least park wise (as opposed to ride wise, though their collection of rides is nothing to sneeze at)

^ Ive had Great America, Over Texas, and Fiesta as my homeparks and my favorite is Definetly GAm.
Although, Fiesta is extremely clean, well runned, has great staff, and great shows.
The only 2 problems with Fiesta is the lack of coasters and thier FF is not nearly as scary as GAM's (no street monsters).
Tony hawks big Spin was a waste of money! They really needed a Batman the Ride. Thats where SFNO comes in the picture with thier BTR. Its close and SFFT could use it now.
Looking for Six Flags New Orleans? Six Flags is still in the process of settling claims with its insurers due to substantial damage caused by Hurricane Katrina. As a result, Six Flags New Orleans will remain closed for the 2007 season. We know that it is still a difficult time for the residents of New Orleans, and we remain committed to working with the city in support of the recovery efforts.
This is what the Six Flags website says about SFNO
Six Flags had a seventy year lease of the place and the mayor of New Orleans is trying to make them stick with it. If they do, then it will reopen, someday. Six Flags is trying to get rid of the park but insurance problems and that lease is holding them back.
