Stealth will leave PGA for PC

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

This is not a rumour. In fact, these two articles confirm it-http://www.carowinds.com/attractions_newproduct.jsphttp://www.pgathrills.com/corpinfo_p ... Apparently, PGA needs to make room for their new waterpark, and Stealth is in the way. It's a real shame too. Stealth opened in 2000, and thus, has only been at PGA for 3 years. It seemed like one of their better coasters, but it has to be removed for a waterpark?! Doesn't NorCal have enough water parks??? I can only hope that this one doesn't suffer the same fate as PKI's. At least PC is closer, and thus, I'll have a better chance of riding Stealth. I can only hope that SFGAm won't make any similar moves in the near future.

Wow, I can't belive that they would take stealth out for a waterpark. Like you stated, its only been there 3 years and I'm assuming that it was pretty popular with the GP.
My Top 5: 1)TTD, 2)Millennium Force, 3)Raptor, 4)Deja Vu, 5)Raging Bull

It is a head scratcher. Just a couple days ago I was referencing Stealth's setup as something I would like to see at SFGAm. I'm sure they have a beneficial plan in place with a possible better coaster addition coming in the future for PGA. They are probably trying to beef up their other property with Stealth while pluss'n PGA. At least they are going to do something with that border of the park while ours lays dormant for most of the seasons. With today's amusement park industry numbers, I don't blame them for such a move. Waterparks are $$$$$

Yeah, this one is strange at best. They removed their Shuttle Looper the beginning of the season and now Stealth is leaving. This is something that SFGAm should consider though. Ice Mountain Splash is pretty much a waste of valuable real estate. A Hurricane Harbor in that area would be a nice addition. It would be small but at least it would be something that this park desparately needs.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Remove Stealth for a water park. I think thats just stupid. It was the first flying coaster and I bet its very popular. They must have something big instore in the near future.

Stealth a 1st generation Vekoma Flying Dutchman sucks, 2nd generation ones like X-Flight are alot better. I heard though when Stealth is being moved it is going to a fabrication plant to get the 2nd generation changes made it so Carowinds doesn't get totally screwed with a complete POS.
