deja vu faster??

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby nkavy71 on August 18th, 2003, 9:51 pm
Well, from my understanding Deja Vu is closed now. But when it was open for a few weeks in early to middle August... I was there, and is it just me, or did the new Deja Vu train run a lot faster than the older one?? It seemed like last year, during the very few days it was open, their old train went through the course slower. What do you guys think?

Well it felt faster to me, but honestly I can't judge fairly. The last time I had rode the ride it was 30 degrees out so it was running slower then normal.

i really don't think it ran any faster than it did with the original train on it, you probably more or less forgot just how fast of a ride it was after not having ridden it for over a year. i think people just told themselves it was a cruddy ride, and were surprised at how much fun it was when they rode it again this summer.... 8)Mod note: Please use proper spelling and grammar. This includes use of capital letters. Thanks.

That means it's not planned downtime. And yes,its faster. It now has bigger Upstop wheels,I don't know why that makes it faster though.

I feel as though the DV is faster.. the 4 times i have been on it this year makes me beleive that it is in fact faster. But more importantly, What is the deal with DV now? Is it now permanently closed for the season? Will it ever be fixed? I love the ride. This year was the first time in 3 years that i could finally ride it, and i want to ride it the 5 times i plan on going the rest of this year and the Many many times i plan on going in 04.

Well, according to coasterguy's trip report, it is. Now that the park is only open on weekends, Six Flags should be able to do enough maintnence in the 5 days that the park isn't open. Lets give them that time to keep our DeJaVu from looking like Magic Mountain's DeJaVu.

Sarcasm is a little hard to pick up in typing... unless of course it is delivered by Travis. Whenever he speaks, you can just assume that he's being sarcastic!

You know it's pretty funny just watching some of you guys trying to be sarcastic just cause "Travis" is. It's the cool thing to do now I guess....And yeah, coasterkid86 is right. Instead of being sarcastic why don't people just tell them what the deal is instead of being all *I know so much more than you about roller coasters and you are inferior*?
