I was just wondering if anyone knew how busy cedar point was on opening weekend. For the past 3 years i have been going to six flags gam, but this year after that, i plan on going to ohio with some friends. I know that gam is usually empty, is cedar point the same way? I also know that maverick is supposed to be opening, so im sure that will enduce more people to come, just wondering if anyone knows anything?
I have never been on opening weekend. Usually we go the MONDAY and TUESDAY following opening weekend! Drive there the sunday (day 2 of the season) and then spend monday and tuesday in the park and it was DEAD! fun fun
it depends on the weather. If its really cold, windy, and rainy, crowds will be light. If the weather is nice, there will be decent sized crowds or more.

I've never been to Cedar Point on there opening day, we go the second week during the week and the crowds are medium midday and light towards the end of the day.

I was there those days last year. Lets just say there wasn't even enough people to fill a whole dragster train at the end of the day. Best days.

^I know at SFGAm they do allow re-rides or at least they have been. If they dont at CP, it really wont matter because you can just run out and back in the time of two trains. But i'm sure they WILL allow it
Re-rides were mostly NOT allowed at SFGAm. Once we let someone ride twice, everyone would want to ride again and would find an open seat, just to find someone else got up to put their items in a storage bin. It slowed down capacity and really just caused problems. Re-rides were usually only allowed on days that werent busy and in short lines. And yes I got in trouble for allowing it once.

CP has a very strict policy, even if there is not one single person waiting in the station, absolutely, positively no rerides, in fact during Millennium Mania back in like 01, an employee got chewed out pretty hard core for having the reride gate open on MF so people didnt have to walk all the ramps, and would exit right out onto the last like 20 feet of enterance ramp into the station, as there were basically no people riding, for the short time the gate was open people would get out, get to the station and get into the same seat they just got off of
All other rides open were also no rerides, it's a strict corperate policy and was like that at all CF parks even during (actually especially during) ERT's.

They had that MForce gate open at BooBuzz last year.
And no they didn't allow rerides opening week on TTD. Just that they wouldn't launch a train with an empty seat so took a few minutes for people to get into the station. Lots of same faces coming around and around again
