There is Silver Dollar City which is 8.5 hours and Dollywood which is 9.5 hours, and that is about it. I am personally doing Dollywood the weekend after my springbreak. No one could go during my spring break.

They also have that Powder Keg launch coaster as well. All in all, SDC seems like a pretty nice little park.
Ill be there for a week in July

Im also going to Silver Dollar City in Late July or early August, as well as Celebration City which isnt supposed to be too far away.
If SDC is anything like Dollywood, it should be a excellant time!!.
lol I just laugh when anyone ever says and a half. It just seems like a 5 year old kind of thing to do.
I was thinking the same thing!
I've heard from a close buddy and fellow coaster lover that Silver Dollar City IS in fact comparable to Dollywood, especially since Fire in the Hole and Blazing Fury are nearly the same ride, if not identical. Silver Dollar City will also be adding a Screaming Swing ride this year.
As for the opening of Mystery Mine, thanks batcave for the post, i'll have to keep that in mind!
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
SDC and Dollywood are about the same thing, because Dollywood used to be called SDC but then in order to gain better market share in the area they changed the name to Dollywood.
SDC is a theme park. You can easily spend lots of time just looking at things around the park. All rides they have are very well themed.
well there's that, and there's the indoor water parks at the dells. That's what i'm doing for spring break. I'll be spending three days at the Wilderness.
