This is great!!! I might go there over the summer since the park is about 45 minutes from my sis' boyfriend's college....I hope it'll work out.....I wanna go there more then ever now!!!!
It may not be official, but why would they transport it to PKI? If they were just going to store it, why not just put it in the boneyard of GL till they figure out where it's going?
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

There are a few coasters that went to other parks and havent gone up. For example Batman: The Escape, Serial Thriller, and Ultra Twister from Astroworld. When Greased Lightnin' was bought from PGA it was in storage at SFMW until parts were used for SFKKs Greezed Lightnin'. I think X-Flight would be a nice addition to Kings Island but Im not going to get excited until its official.

Well, uhh, what did you expect them to do with the coasters that were at Astroworld? The park doesn't exist anymore and the assets had to be moved regardless so that is a bad comparison.
And from what I heard, Greased Lightnin was bought for parts and never was expected to be put up somewhere else. PGA and SFMW are only 1.5 hours from eachother so it made sense to move it there temporarily. Besides, PGA and SFMW are owned by 2 different companies so it had to be moved somewhere and once again, that is a bad comparison.
Keep trying though.

Well, deep down inside, I was hoping X-Flight would go to Worlds of Fun or Michigan's Adventure, both could use another coaster, but I guess it will do. Do you seriously think the general public won't notice that it's just X-Flight? I think it will be interesting how this turns out. Lets hope it gets painteda and rethemed. For that matter, anyone think we're looking at a Borg Assimilator 2?

Well the Kings Island rep. at NCC today was all...
"If a green coaster hypothetically was being torn down, and those green pieces were hypothetically showing up in the Kings Island lot, and there hypothetically was a cleared plot of land by Flight of Fear...I mean, hypothetically I'm not giving ANYTHING away."
^ She also said that the major thrill ride will be announced the day after the Colts win the Super Bowl. So if the Bears win, we will never find out what they're getting
Not really, the capacity for X Flight tops out probably around 600 or so people per hour, maybe they could get 800 with a good crew, with how crazy crowded PKI gets on a near daily basis during the summer, it's going to have a Face Off style line, that being enormus, slow moving and leaving most people pissed off.
Also word has it the Impulse from GL is headed to Dorney.

X Flight was designed for a capacity of over 1300. With a good crew and all 3 trains running, it is possible for an increase in numbers.

none of the Vekoma Flyers have ever run 3 trains due to technical issues, orignally the seats were supposed to recline while going up the lift and stand back up on the final brakes, also with load and unload times being so long, they would never get that number or even half that on most days, another case in point.....
Deja Vu's design capacity is 1100 pph.
(Six Flags has updated SFGAm and SFMM website to not include capacity, b ut SFOG's DV page still has the original stat.

^Pretty cool name for it and I like the red and steel gray color combo. Lets hope it turns out okay....not that there is much they can do to mess it up.

I wish Six Flags would fire whoever came up with the name "Entrance to the sky" for V2 at SFMW. It'll always V2 at SFMW instead of Diskovery Kingdom or w/e. Firehawk isn't a bad name for Cedar Fair I guess.
