Has anyone gotten the most hilarious email from Nintendo ever yet? You need to register your Wii, but afterwards they start sending you things like this:
Do not let go of the remote during play: For example, while playing Wii Sports Bowling, the ball is released by simply releasing the B button, not by letting go of the remote!

So....

nintendo is getting sued for patent infringement.

This sucks. I hope Nintendo wins it, because no more Wiis will make me want to go over to this company with an AK-47.

Honestly I think it's complete crap. It's just a damn remote. I think they're overreacting.

Ok, bringing it back. I stood in line for a second Wii, I was #7 this time. This was on the 17th at Best Buy where they got only 24 units and like 60 people in line. I get in Best Buy first and I grab 2 nunchuks, but there were no controllers, but I quickly remembered that Circuit City was getting them, so I got money from my mom (this system wasnt for me, it was for my older bro, so she bought me those 2 nunchuks for waiting). So I get the money and run to Circuit who still hasnt let the people in up until I get right in line, I get up to the counter and there were 4 wiimotes left, so I bought the 2 that I needed. I left and my Wii hunting is over, now just to buy Red Steel after Christmas.

Oh yea, here are the current sales of the consoles if you curious
Xbox 360 - 8,721,160 units
PS3 - 480,795 units
Wii - 1,814,607

These numbers will continue to change as Sunday Dec. 17th's sales of Wii were in high amounts and PS3 sold a significant amount too and they are both slowly being accounted for. Also, the Xbox 360 is just easy to find, so people are buying that instead, so those are going up quickly.

Statistics found here and updated minutely

Lastly, if anyone here is looking for a Nintendo Wii before Christmas, there are only 2 stores that have a possibility of getting them at anytime this week. They will put them on the shelves the night they get them and will sell them. They will be available when the store opens. K-Mart and Target, K-mart was supposed to get them on Sunday, but their shipment was late and is expected tomorrow to be sold (Tuesday); Target, they have a few coming at anytime during the week, but in low quantities. Finally, there is one last store, but you must buy it in a bundle at a increased price: Toys R' Us. They did not sell all their Wiis on Sunday, they sold 30% of their stock to hold them for this sale on Friday when the stores open. If you are planning to to wait for the Toys R Us one, make sure you ask the manager of that store as he will be able to provide the most information. At the other 2 stores, there is no set date, it could happen at anytime, but most likely at store open and shouldnt have a line since there will be no advanced notification of it. Just thought I would add some info to help anyone looking for one. Also, these stores will mostly likely not get any till next year: Wal-mart, EB Games, Best Buy and Circuit City. They will probably stock-pile them again as they have been since release.

About the patent thing.

There are way to many other devices like the Wii-mote.
Used one in school today as a matter of fact.

It won't hold out I don't think.

When I tried downloading Opera for the Wii it said that it was an invalid transaction and my Wii crashed. Not cool.

Ok, Ive never played Wii so think my post doesnt matter if you want, I dont care...

I think that Wii will do better and I will definetely get a Wii before a PS3, but the PS3 is better...Is it worth it is a different question, but you cant argue with the specs...and as for games those are opinions

And why would anyone want a PS3??
how about because it plays blu-ray movies, which if you have any intention of getting a next gen movie any time soon, youll need either a blu-ray player or hddvd player...both these players cost at least 600 bucks or more for some...PS3 costs 600 bucks, plays blu ray and video games, has awesome features if you have a psp...THATS why youd want a ps3...

So sure, Wii is less money, which is appealing, but PS3 is better and a better buy if you want a blu ray player as well and especially if you own a PS3...

Now of course I dont have enough money for one, so Ill be getting a Wii as soon as I get some money, but to be honest there arent any games for either system that I want all that bad the moment...We wont know for sure which will do better until some time around summer, so lets just wait til then and then we can actually have a valid conversation...(except for people posting about their opinions on the Wii, those are of course valid)...

I have both a PS3 and Wii, heres how I'm putting it.

Blu-Ray will not be taking off for a long time.
Considering it took awhile for VHS's to be extinct.

PS3 and the Wii is like PSP and DS.

PSP and PS3 are good for almost everything BUT games.
DS and Wii are good for games and nothing more, though I think the Wii is DEFINATLEY changing that outlook.

It really comes down to what you want.
Mainstream Titles and an entertainment powerhouse? PS3
Awesome gameplay and some side features? Wii
