New Cell Phone

I'm thinking about giving up on US Cellular talk tracker because to be honest.....THEIR LAME!!! You can't download ringtones, games, etc. All u have is just a phone that has boogy a** ringtones and games (sorry for language). I already looked up Ampd mobile and they have a pick your plan/play as you go option, however, they do not offer Free Nights, Weekend nor Holiday Minutes. But they do offer Unlimited Night Minutes starting at 7 P.M for $7.00. $7.00! Are u kidding me?! But this is what i'm looking for. I'm looking for a phone that allows you to download ringtones, games, wallpaper, etc., something thats affordable like what Talk Tracker plans were and free nights and weekends*(THAT IS A MUST!!!) Please help me! I know some of you have bright minds and know about the good cell phone deals.

You can try a T-mobile plan its like 30 dollars a month but you get 300 minutes and unlimited nights and weekends, unlimited T-mobile to T-mobile minutes and you get cheap ring tones and ring back tones.

T-Mobile isn't that good from what I've experienced with them.

I personally text a lot, Verizon had a cheaper Unlimited Plan for it.
So I went with Verizon.

A company that seems to be suitable for the average person wanting average things is Cingular, so I'd go with them if you're not a BIG talker or a BIG texter.

^ Well i am a HUGE talker and a BIG texter so I'm really thinking about getting Cingular GoPhone Pick Your Plan since I have my old Cingular Sony Ericsson flip phone. I don't know yet. But those are some good suggestions.

Id stick with Us Cellular, You get the free incoming text and phone calls, and just buy a used US Cellular phone and have them program it to your Talk Tracker service.

If you dont want to shell out alot of cash for a brand new out of the box phone, Check Ebay.... they sell used phones all the time.

I have T-Mobile and I use it all the time at the park (Reception is OK not great, looses reception once I go inside a metal building.)

T-Mobile is fine if you stay in highly populated areas and on Interstates. If you think you might be going into places which aren't highly populated T-Mobile would be a bad choice.

And for Reference I have a Motorola V3 Razr and I don't download ringtones etc.... I send them directly to the phone via USB (I make them myself) since that is the cheapest and IMHO the best option. I also like T-Mobile's unlimited internet (for the phone) for only $5 extra/month.

Your reception also depends on the phone your using also. Because I have a samsung SGH-T629 with T-mobile and I get amazing signal anywhere I go. You can also go here to check how much signal you would have http://www.t-mobile.com/coverage/

lets just say that the chocolate the enV and the VX8600 are really cool and worth the $150-$300 it costs. I mean who wouldn't want to flip their phone, see a keyboard and go on AIM, Youtube, Facebook, and Myspace? i cannot wait to get my enV. it's prob. the coolest phone that verizon has to offer.

I've mad my decision!!!! And the winner is................Cingular GoPhone Pick Your Plan!!!!

I choose that because they have a online deal with the Motorola Razr for just $99.99 with free shipping and activation. And they have a rollover plan which is $69.99 which includes 650 minutes, free nights and weekends and rollover minutes and unlimited mobile to mobile minutes!!! I called my nearest cingular store but they told me that I had to pay full price for the razr. I can't wait to order it soon!

i would have went with verizon but because of my mom not paying a previous cingular(contract phone) bill which is $900 because she went to florida and on top of that made over $300 worth of roaming calls, and we never knew we had a Regional plan instead of the National plan. So now her credit may be pretty messed up because of that  . And i can't get cingular go phone because the price for the razr what I was talking about just went back up 100 dollars so now its 199.99 and my mom says thats out the question  . But my sister she has verizon and shes about to take off one of her friends off her plan and she may give it to my mom or me. IF she does then I can either get the Razr, chocolate or enV. Wish me luck!!!!
