Which Ride at SFGA that you absolutely hate

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Galvan on August 12th, 2003, 7:03 pm
Now, i shouldnt really talk, because i have been on all SFGA rides.(Except V2..DAMN THEM!) But which ride do you people absolutely hate? And dont give me that "Well i love them all" because thats so untrue... theres gotta be one... Name it here.Mine, is V2, why? first of all, i cant ride it. Im too tall and my shoulders are too big to fit the harness. Second, The whole idea of going back and forth like V2 seems, well kinda stupid to me... Id rather ride Superman or Deja Vu then V2... tell me what you think.

Deja Vu. Look at how long it was closed down for.
Eh, what's up?

I haven't been on every ride at SFGAm, unless you're talking about just coasters. There really is no coaster or flat ride I hate. There's just no way I would be able to hate a coaster.

I don't hate any rides at SFGAM, but my leats favorite is Iron Wolf, because of the roughness.

My least fave would probably have to be Spacely's... it's a good ride, just doesn't live up to the others. I should ride it next time I go, I haven't ridden it since 2001.

I agree, I think Iron Wolf is a great ride if you learn how to avoid the roughness. Standing up on a rollercoaster is just awesome, and the fancy turning towards the end of the ride gives some airtime.

I've only been on it once and that was over a year ago, so I totally forget everything about it, other than my safety harness being too high, it being rough, and me being uncomfortable.

The last time I was there, I learned that standing on your toes when the seat locks is not a good idea. :x

Okay, it seems that many people are confusing the definations of "roughness" and "headbanging". Iron Wolf is not rough. There is just a lot of headbanging. It is caused by the sudden turns and jolts, which cause your head to hit the restraint. Roughness, on the other hand, is what Iron Wolf is not. Roughness would be like something you would feel on a woodie. The bumpy, uncontrolled feeling, if you know what I mean. There is definately a difference between the two words....

It is a tie for me between Deja Vu and V2......I hate Deja Vu because I went on July 26th and they were testing it and I went yesterday and it was closed and as a result I still HAVE NOT riden it. I hate V2 because I don't fit the harness because of my shoulders which brings up a question....why don't they have a seat on the outside like Superman and Batman so I don't waste my time in line?

I know what you mean about V2...This Year, was the first year the line on V2 was short enough to get in line for a ride.. Yet i couldnt ride it, same with Iron Wolf...So V2 and Iron Wolf get my vote :x

I really don't hate any coasters, but if I don't get to ride them all in one day I'll usualy skip demon and whizzer. And Iron Wolf is awesome. I think a roller coaster should be rough, how they were originaly. It adds to the "overall" thrill.

"Hate" is a strong word. However, I would use "Hate" towards the SkyDive. It is ugly, it takes up too much space, it doesn't contribute, in my opinion, to the skyscape of the park and it does not offer anything to the majority of park visitors. If I would have to pick a coaster it would be V2.Iron Wolf is up there too, but I am holding out hope that the park will realize what this ride is, find someone to tell them how nice it originally ran, and get brand new rolling stock. $$$

I love all of the coasters. I really dont know what my least favorite is. Its definetly not IW. in my opinion IW is smooth. I never bang my head against the harness.

I would have to say that my least favorite ride at SFGAM would have to be the big green lawn ornament. It is just useless! I also can not stand V2. I have been on it five times and I will never feel the need to do it agiain. It is a cheap 20 sec. thrill.

u guys dont diss Iron Wholf if u ride it in the very last seat like i always do it isnt as rough it is actually a injoyable ride.the why i sit in the back on every thing is because back in 99 i discovered that the back seat is the best on every thing it makes it more intense even though u guys already know that.
ive been to sfga a total of 10 times since aug. of 99 my fav is raging bull & superman ultimate flight heck i love all of the.
