SFOT Mr. Freeze is getting a new paint scheme

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.
Postby SFGAmfreak4life on December 14th, 2006, 3:57 pm
Mr. Freeze at SFOT is getting a new paint job. The track is getting painted red and the supports are getting a darker blue. Heres a a couple pictures http://www.screamscape.com/html/six_fla ... _texas.htm http://www.themeparkreview.com/forum/vi ... 8&start=50 The color scheme doesnt fit Mr. Freeze and reminds me of Batman and Robin: The Chilller. I dont know if the same thing is going to happen at SFSL but I think we will find out soon if it does.

Yuck. That'd be like painting Batman: The Ride yellow! ........oh wait....
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.

Stupid thought, but you think it will get a name change too since the colors obviously have nothing to do with it?

That's weird. Doesn't really fit... but I like the colors anyway. No big deal, they're just colors.

I like the scheme personally, and I like SFOT's Freeze better then SFStl's as well.

Also that color scheme looks like Batman and Robin the Chiller at SFGadv. Which is based on a story involving Mr. Freeze.

The new paint looks good, but the color choices make absolutely no sense for a ride that is themed to Mr. Freeze :?

I think the logo for Snowy's Snowcone factory (the themed front for the station/queue) involves the color red, could have chosen the red color from that. though even if the Red doesnt make much sense, looks better than Faded blue and rust splotches, hopefully SFStL gets the same treatment, when I was there in 05 it looked like hell, I imagine it looks worse now.

^Exactly, I didn't like the old colors, too much of one color...one bad color at that...

Hopefully this won't be the only Mr. Freeze to get this paint job.....

After thinking about this for a while and seeing the colors that they are replainting the ride too. It could only mean that its going to be a Superman Type ride, (Which this park already has but still) Think about SFKKs Hellevator being renamed to Superman Tower of Power, the feeling was that Hellevator wasnt family friendly, Same thing could be said here i suppose.

^Now are you saying Superman is more family friendly then Mr. Freeze because Mr. Freeze is a villain?

I hope so.
Otherwise, I don't understand.

^I think he was just trying to make a comparison. Helivator was definitely not a family friendly name so changing it to Superman makes sense.

Mr. Freeze's color change is still odd to me. If it's changed to Superman, it may be because they are going to include Superman as a character for the Justice League this year.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Why are they painting it red? The character Mr. Freeze has no red at all. This is dumb.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Why dont they just name it Superman. All they need to do now is add a little bit of yellow!

the paint scheme doesnt fit the name of the ride well, but it doesnt look too bad. my family will most likely be heading out to SFSL again this year. guess we'll have to wait and see if they change. too bad mr. freeze wasnt open in st louis last year :(
