so, where did I leave off..
So I wake up in my kickass hotel way early around 8 as that's when I agreed to go down for breakfast, so I head downstairs and to the breakfast room where there is a fairly standard arrangement of German Breakfast food, namely coldcuts, fish and bread, though the bread was excellent and fresh baked, had a few cold cuts, but it was a fatty sort of meat and I was planning on heading back to sleep afterwards so I took it easy on the meat, one nice thing when I got up to get a few more rolls the owner of the hotel came in and put a freshly hard boiled egg at my seat with a really neat little stand (didnt get a pic though), normally I dont care for hard boiled eggs, but I ate this one as I was the only person in the breakfast room so I couldnt give it away to anyone and felt obligated to eat it, so I ate it thanked the owner of the hotel for such a nice breakfast then i went back up to my room and proceeded to "oversleep" again, woke up like 11ish, packed my bags and checked out.
Loaded up my car and hit the road for Tripsdrill which was about a 15 min drive away, I'm not sure but I think I took a wrong turn along the way which sent me though a few small towns but really didnt use up much time and I rolled into Tripsdrill's free parking lot like 11:30 or so. Gather my park going materials and head to the front gate, paid my reasonable admittance fee and entered the park and Immediately i noticed it was a stunningly beatuiful park, very old it seems, lots of landscaping, huge trees, heavily themed german style buildings, all around nice and I walk around for a bit passing a few german storytale scenes set up around the park along with some bible scenes at least one with adam and eve (yay for nudity), but after a while i start to make my way back towards their more recent rides, but on the way I come across my first coaster there that being a Zierer Coaster with the standard layout and huge 20-odd car train, I believe it was called Rasender Tausendfüßler (Racing Millipedes says RCDB), fairly standard stuff, so I head back to their newer rides, one being a flume and one Gerstlauer Bobsleigh coaster both sharing a small thematic castle for both stations and queue's, first the flume called Badewannen Fahrt Zum Jungbrunnen and instead of regular log boats the boats are bathtubs complete with shower...

a pic there I found shows the tub and the castle, but I take it the name of the ride translated is probably related to the history of bathing, and most of the flume consisted of, well people bathing (hurray for nudity again, and lots of it, lots of wonderful clevage and perhaps a beaver or 2), again with this flume over the course of the ride it has a few suprises with turntables, drops in reverse and of course nudity, and even better it was not a drenching ride.
So after that, well actually I rode it a few times, I headed to the coaster called G'sengte Sau, it was similar to the Klotten Gerstlauer Bobsled, but it is quite a bit older, was Gerstlauers first steel coaster and ends up being very smooth, has some potient airtime, and some really nice helicies, also rode that a few times and I went back to the flume for a bit more of that and then more coaster

After I tired of that routine I started checking out the rest of the park, though I dont remember all specifics, I know I rode a whitewater rafting ride with a whirlpool which was neat, and not drenching, rode a bunch of unremarkable flats, ate during the course of the day, had a bratwurse and fries of course with curry ketchup food was ok, was expecting better from such a nice park but it was reasonably priced (park reminds me of knoebels, probably why I expected better food), I know I toured the Vinarium a winery they have on site, though I got a free tasting glass (included with admission) I didnt taste any wine as it was like 1 euro per glass and I'm not a huge fan of wine, gives me a headache, came around to their Maypole ride which is hard to describe but unique, but there is a 40 or so foot pole that looks like a maypole and from the ring on top there were like 6 or so suspended cars that sat 2 peoples, so you get in and the pole starts to rotate rather slowly and lifts the cars up to the top, and you have a joystick to control your elevation, pretty neay but nothing to exciting, also they had a drop ride that was similar to a frog hopper exept the seats tiled forwards like 15 degrees, though that tilting was very violent and near impossible to describe so I wont try.
I guess also during the course of the day I needed to use the bathroom (#2) and most of the toilets in the park had square bowls, and that's just to much pressure, cant use anything like that, took a while to find a round bowl to which I could agree to, was worse than the 70's neon orange stall walls at PGA

After my tour of the park it was about 3pm so I went back and rode the coaster and flume repeadedly til the flume closed at 5 (park closed at 6) so after the flume closed I rode the coaster a few times and headed out.
going to end my TR here today as I work early tomorrow and it's late, next TR will be, drive to mannheim and Holiday Park/Expedetion GeForce
til next time.
