The first thing a Wii-hater mentions is graphics. What a surprise.

No I'm just commenting the graphics the remote idea sucks, it was wayyy too hard to control and the games were really tiring for the fore arms especially pool.

Maybe you just sucked at the game...

I'll have the Wii in a little over 12 hours and I'll post a review before I go to bed.

Wow, you really dont understand gaming at all. You must be a PS fanboy. Firstly, graphics are so advanced now that you can hardly tell the difference between any of the systems, it's always, "Nintendo has the worst" when in reality, they all look similar. Secondly, you must a biased loser to think that the controllers are crap because they are innovating gameplay.

Oh quit the flame wars. Andyvball, you have obviously never played a nintendo home system, and if you have, I pity you. Graphics aren't everything. That's why the only decent games Xbox had were Halo and Jet Set Radio. Oh yea, and Project Gotham.

never heard of jet set radio...................

64 was the best game system in history in my opinion, and super smash brothers is my all time favorite game, but i think the gamecube was horrible and the second ssb was horrible, and after playing the Wii in the mall i still don't like nintendo they should stick to handheld games

PS3 > Nintendo in my opinion. It seems like Nintendo is always one step back from Microsoft and Sony.

Nintendo 64 had cartridges while Playstation moved to CDs...

Gamecube had mini-discs while PS2 had DVDs...

PS3 has Blu-Ray while Wii has who knows what.

Also I think the Wii is not High Definition while 360 and PS3 are...

I'm not big on video games anymore so spare any errors...

Hey andyv, how is N64 the greatest system ever if you've never owned one? Quit complain at people for their opinions when you know absolutely nothing about the subject.

And for whoever cares I got to Wal-Mart at 1 PM and was 11th in line. Picked up the system at 12:16 and brought it home. Out of the box Nintendo had very detailed instructions on how to set up the system. The hardest part was to set up the sensor bar, but that only took a couple minutes.

So far I've played bowling, tennis, and boxing and they were so much fun. I'd still be playing but some of my friends have stolen the wiimotes from me. Red Steel will be on after this. So far Wii owns.

Today I got to EBGames an hour after they started selling. 65th in line, and I blew around $600 getting everything.

This is a really really friendly system. Each game has a tutorial so I know what the hell I'm doing. It's quiet, very VERY quiet. I don't here a disk buzzing around all night like on a PS3.

Wii Sports should be the game you play for 5 hours, because you'll really get the hang of the controller.

This will be a really really good system once you learn the controls for it.

So yeah.
Wii are amazing.

I have to say that it was definitely worth waiting in line overnight for twelve hours.

At Gamestop, I saw a pic of a more conventional Wii controller, I assume its mainly for the classic games. Interesting...

Get a Wii, Own a Wii, and then tell me what you think.

Until you go out and buy one, you have no right to be talking.

Well, the advantage of being in the dorms is that, naturally, like 5 of my neighbors have one now. I was playing it last night, and I gotta say, that as a non-gamer, that thing is really awesome! The price is extremely reasonable and the Wii Sports games are awesome! We made Paris Hilton for the boxing one...talk about enjoyment! Anyways, yeah, definitely considering buying this, which would be my first system since PS1.

I got my Wii from Target got there at 6am and was #27 in line. I must say I am impressed with the system as a whole. So far I have only played Wii sports and Tony Hawk, but find both to be quite fun. I know many people talk about graphics but I am more for the fun of the game. If you want a powerhouse ya PS3 is the way to go, but if your into actually having enjoyable games, at this point in time I think Wii has that covered.

Sony is so screwed right now.

Looks like Nintendo might be the favorite this holiday season.

Thank God. Time to usher in a new era of actual "gaming." I'm sorry, XBOX360 and PS3 are just a PC with less features.
