The all new Six Flags!

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby T.K. on November 2nd, 2006, 9:17 am
hey guys I think it's time to shake it off. LOL We know that Six Flags will not add any big rides for 2007 for SFGAm, but based on 2006 What do you think, what kind of aditions we will see in 2006? Every little detail.
I hope that:
- Many rides would add single rider line.
- The electonic Flash Pass.
- Iron Wolf get new paint.
- New entrance and new parking booth.
- Re-do Demon line.
- Theme better Viper station.
- Theme better Raging Bull station.
- Have cast member wearing custom uniforms.
- Security watching lines for big rides.
- More shows.
- River Rocker lake- LOL.
- Fix the SWT bells.
- Make a restaurant on boat by Verticle Velocity.
So what's yours?
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!

I agree with most of that except these...

I don't think they need to re-do anything at this point. Viper's station is themed just fine. It's prolly the most themed at the park, and even so, it's too early in the "new SF" game to get things like that.

Same with the shows thing. It's too early for that.

What's wrong with the Bells? They seem to work fine...

The resturaunt thing is a great idea....but....they need actual good food and lower prices before people would sit and eat there.
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.

Here is my list:

Paint the supports on Eagle

Redo the entire Eagle queue so it isnt retarded

Paint the fences at Hometown Fun Machine. I am not exagerating when I say I can see 5 different shades of yellow on one of the boards

Give Whizzer some TLC. Painting the ride would be nice. Top priority should be fixing up the station. Yellow safety line needs to be where gates close, not 1 foot farther out  Also, there are many trim pieces missing. Definitely paint the station

Iron Wolf could use some paint, but the issues above are higher priority in my opinion

One thing I think would be wise would be to take out the Tent at Eagles entrance. They should keep the entrance itself, just lose the tent. They should be able to get 2 new flats by doing that. (one on each side)

I also think that both kiddie areas should be upgraded. They aren't really bad, but they could use a little bit more theming than what is there now. CCN could change entirely, BBNP should stay Looney Tunes themed.

Eagle was repaited this past off season.

The fences at HTFM are constantly painted. The reason they have 5 different shades of yellow is because people who wait in line are stupid. They peel the paint off while they wait, forcing the painting crews to repaint them all the time.

Iron Wolf was repainted in 2005.

^ Iron Wolf definitely was not repainted in 2005. Also when they painted Eagle, they only painted the red and blue parts. There is no new paint on the supports. It isn't wise to try correcting people without checking your facts

First thing they should really take care of their employees some of them really look like theyre not very happy working at their department give them more benefits like higher raises or whatever good things they can provide take good care them maybe some of the sup are mean or giving them a hard time who knows. Make them feel comfortable working at GA besides a happy employee means better customer service better service equals happy guests.

Rides - Nothing Everything is fine the way it is. Hopefully add a new one and get rid off unreliable rides that always break down or rides that no one ride at all so they can get the workers to work other rides and make the lines go faster.

Shows - whatever they have every season is fine they dont need a lot.

Cleanliness the park is clean they maintain it really good its the guest fault if the place is dirty.

Pricing - a lot of people are complaining that they charge too much for tickets maybe thats why they lost attendance this year and more people actually would rather eat out than eat in the park because the food is so expensive but its a themepark they all charge a lot for food Disney, Universal all of them do. Maybe make them affordable.

LOWER THE FOOD PRICE AND INCREASE FOOD QUALITY.

I have to agree on that, 2 slices of pizza and 2 rootbeers for 21 dollars is ridiculous
SF trips 09 = 15
SF trips 10= 11
SF trips 11 =7

Replace Trailblazer

Repaint Eagle Supports (I like the tent, keep it)

Relocate Jester's Wild Ride to a kids area and install something better (even a Frog Hopper would be better than JWR).

Bring back the 99 cent root beers in the old Hot Shoppe building.

I've been saying it for years: Put some live entertainment in Eagle's tent! There is plenty of room in there for a fire breathing show or something!

Do one of those little marketing schemes like CP did this year with the 25 cent cotton candy and market it, families respond to that stuff.

Biggest problem with the park is security, not going to get too deep into that but security needs to be watching the queue lines for major rides. They can turn very ugly.

Priority should be get rid of every level of management that works in food service...Food used to be really good at the park till premier ruined it. Its understandable for food to be expensive, cause it is at every major venue, but the quality needs to get much much better. Maybe change one of the resturaunts into a sit down full service, and bring back the menu's the park used to have.
Also I think the charectors need to upped, the park was much more enjoyable before most of the charectors were slashed.

As far as rides go, the whole ugly Eagle tent thing is being taken care of this year. The main thing that would help rides is a more adequete maintenence budget. The way it is setup is basically "well your budgeted for full capacity on everything however if something breaks your screwed." I think GAm is in much better shape than most SF parks, but still a lot of things need to be painted. Eagles supports, a lot of the fences and railings, Iron Wolf, Whizzer, SWF.
Also, there are many trim pieces missing

Goes with maintenence budget, unfortunatley Whizzers not the only ride that needs new trim pieces .

Could go into much greater detail, but whats stated above should be top priority.

I liked most of the food at the park. The pizza and chicken is delicous. Havent tried much anything else. The fries weren't great.

One minor thing GAm should have is Vault in the soda machines since SFKK and SFGAdv have them already.

I agree with this completely. Some members of the current security staff are very poor at doing their job. Even when it is clear someone has assualted a cast member (i.e. someone spitting on someone from say the Eagle queue crossing.) They will not be kicked out of the park. This is a serious problem in my opinion.

And with the food, it used to be much better. What it is now is nothing like what it used to be. It can be that way again, just not with the current foods management.

Refurbish HFM.
Do some work on Whizzer.
Finish retracking AE and repaint all the white parts.
Lower the price of parking.
Lower the price of food. Get a new food supplier or start making it themselves.
New asphalt around most of the park.
Remove SSA and GAR. Maybe put a bunch of flats there.
Replace King Chaos with a new top spin.
Put a show in the Wilderness Theater. Maybe bring back the high diving show.

Thats all I can think of for now.

SSA is a good family ride and I doubt it will be leaving anytime soon unless the hydraulics finally die on it.

Do you guys know how much paint it took to paint the Eagle supports? It was an enormous amount so I doubt they will repaint it.

Wiggles, Im not so excited about it, but we all know its inevitable. Too bad it has to take that location, well maybe some of you will like it and others wont. Mostly, I think most of you wont like the whole idea and the location. Just put two and two together and you can figure out where its going. The whole idea, i guess, for little kids, is good.

I like the whole idea of a new themed area. I'm not a fan of it, but for little kids it will be like a wonderland. Remember guys, families in the park bring in money, more money means better park, more rides etc. I hope this post won't get deleted, lol
