Tonight was really fun, but SO COLD! At first it sucked, because we had a late start thanks to the car almost having troubles again, and also there was insane traffic. We finally got to the park at 6. We headed straight to Revolution - and fun was had by all! We got to walk right on. Get this though. There were 4 people in front of us, and one of the ops said there were only 4 seats left, so they said 4 or less people. The four people in front of us decided not to go on. So me and Jason got to go on, and when we were walking past them, one of them called us cheaters. Hypocrite much?
Next up was Iron Werewolf. It was a 5 minute wait for the back row, and an awesome ride. Then we went into Necropolis. This was the best experience in Necropolis this year, I got scared by so many scareactors! That's my idea of a real Fright Fest experience. I love when they try to scare me! It just makes it so much more fun. We got in line for Batman next, and it was a 30 minute wait for the front row. I love riding it in the front at night! It was quite cold, but soo amazingly awesome.
We walked back towards the back of the park, and decided to go on IW again. This time it was about 10 minutes. Then we went on Fiddler's Flung, and I wanted to literally kill the ride op. It was a really good ride. Then after eating a funnel cake we walked over to Demon, and waited about 15 minutes for 6:1. Just like last time I was on this, it was so smooth! Didn't bang my head once, it was great. We were on the yellow train.
Next was Viper, or, Snakes on a Train. There was some snake guy sort of in the entrance into the station. I didn't really see him that well. Anyway, we waited about 20 minutes and went in the 3rd row. The airtime on this ride is just crazy. Sometimes I get nervous that I'd fly out.
Next, we rode Bull. It was a 20 minute wait for row 8. Nice cold ride. Then, we rode Terror Twister where it was warm. We needed the friends we went with in late May, my arms were so tired and I almost killed my wrist twice. It was a good ride despite the fact they didn't play Sandstorm, they played something else during our ride. Then we went on Orbit. Whenever we go past it, we're just always tempted to go on it.
Next was Whizzer, and it was a walk on! Really good ride, and I hope they keep this ride for years to come. We went over to SUF, and I thought we would get off in time to run to another ride, but nope. We waited about, 30 minutes and went in the back row. It was fun despite the fact at the end of the ride my back started aching. I could not wait to get to the car, I was seriously starting to get numb all over.
All in all, a GREAT visit to the park. I'm just so sad that Sunday is the last day, and it's only one day away. I think I'll survive though, I'm not as hooked to the park as I was in previous years.
Excellant report!!
So how were the crowds?? We went the last Friday of FF last year and ended the year by getting 9 re-rides on Viper as it had bascially no line after 11:30pm.
Its always sad to end another year of roller coaster riding, unless I win the lottery and get in my FLA/CA trips at the end of the year(LOL).
No lines after 11:30 pm? Did the Fridays close later last year? I swear I thought they always closed at 11. Anyway, I remember feeling like the park was packed at one point, but really it wasn't bad at all. When we got in line for BTR, we only had to go through 1 switchback, and when we got off there were 2-4 more switchbacks filled, I was like but I saw no other coasters using switchbacks. Oh yeah, later on when we passed Revy it was using a few switchbacks. Glad we went on it when we did. We could've ridden Whizzer a bunch of times, but I wanted to get on SUF/V2 since I hadn't been on them in a while because of the lines. I'll try to get in a ride on V2 tomorrow because it's been quite a while since I last rode it.
Cool! I was there that night to. I was celebrating my 13th birthday even though my birthday wasn't really until the 28th. We stayed until 11:00 because we thought that's what time the park closed, but I was a little curious when I noticed that there was no announcement that the park was closing. And it was also my first time at Fright Fest, so it was really cool.
Does anybody honestly know when you're right side up or upside down on Batman?!!
