Ok, my assignment is to build a mousetrap car for physics. Has anyone ever done it? Does anyone have any suggestions or help? I am currently trying to use K'nex, but it doesn't seem to be working. Any ideas, especially all you geniuses out there?

What do you mean by a mouse trap car, like a mouse trap that can move?

^It's a car-type thing that goes when the mouse trap is set off.

I haven't done one personally, but my old school used to do them. I just remember that people used records and cds for wheels.

Put two axles on the under part of the mouse trap, tie a string to the swinging arm of the trap. Set the trap, then attatch the opposite end of the string to one of the axles. Then spin the wheels of the axle you have attached the string to to wind up the string.

Set down the trap and set it off.

Oh, you can make it really complicated and have about a 20 step process. :D
