No Re-entry policy during Fright Fest

Do you think that the No Re-entry policy during Fright Fest will casus lots of complaints? No Re-entry policy after 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays. 9pm on Fridays.

I think it will cause many complaints, especially on Saturdays as many people will probably be making it back from dinner after 7pm and then will find out that they are not allowed to re-enter. No mater how many signs you put people will not read them. Also, how about people who need to go to there car after 7pm, to get something or drop off something. I think there will be a long line at the Guest Relations Window, especially on Saturdays.

i don't think it will be too big of a problem.....if people are leaving that late, then they're probably not coming back in.

Well if you leave at 5pm to go to dinner at come back at 7:15 PM you will not be able to Re-enter. And I know lots of people go out to dinner and then make there way back to the park.

This is why they are doing it, they are allowing people to leave and come back, which will keep the complaints less, but making the people stay in the park for dinner, instead of going out and coming back later. Also, they know it is going to be crowded, so this is another way of making it less crowded and keep only the people that are going to spend money in the park stay in the park.

Well, I hope this doesn't become a standard in the industry. If the park puts out a good product, people will stay and eat it. I don't mind paying top dollar for GOOD food. But I don't see why they think this is a good idea. To me I see this as anti family. The family of 6 can't afford a $60 dinner. They goto the car and eat their picnic meal and don't bother no one. Yes they probably leave a little mess in the parking lot, but so does everyone else.

Um, why dont you Eat Dinner before you go to the park on fridays and eat dinner at like 5pm on Saturdays/Sunday! Then you will have Plenty of time to come back into the park.

Don't forget, folks, that Six Flags had discussed a no re-entry policy prior to the start of the year. They nixed that idea, however, at all parks but Six Flags Mexico - a park that has had a no re-entry policy all year. You have to wonder if this is yet another test by Six Flags to see if they could somehow get a no re-entry policy to work. I hope it isn't, but *if* it is, things could get quite ugly.

I agree with the crowd control issue, but I think there are two other things that nobody wants to say....

1. Keeps out the drunks
2. Keeps out the creepy people that celebrate Halloween 365 days a year.

It's probably so they can save money by not having people at the front gate. You know how many people want to get in at Fright Fest late at night. It's crazy! They have to pay a lot of workers for these people to get back in. During the regular season, they can have two people, and it would perfectly fine because less people come in at night. Fright Fest is a night thing!!

I dont think it has anything to do with crowd control at all. If the park reaches capacity they wont let anyone enter till some one leaves.
This is all about them trying to force people to eat lousy food inside the park that is way over priced. Like other people have said, if the quality of the food was good and not overpriced then people would eat inside the park.
I think it is a trial run to see how many people complian before they decide if they should do this year-round

It has nothing to do with food sales, as RagingBullFan said its more of a crowd control issue because of how crowded the park is.

OK, I can agree with the crowd control issue, but that's also the reason I used to buy a season pass. So I could go after work or even for a couple hours to have some fun. And I believe the crowd issue would be better if most or all of the rides were in operation to spread out the crowd better.

To me, staffing should never be an issue. As a former Cedar Point employee, I understand how most of the staff is gone by now. But they find church and fundraiser groups that work most of the positions that don't require much training and most of the time things work out at almost normal speed. At most what do they save, 4 hours for 2 employees? That's nothing in the big picture of things.

Not a big deal to me, I actually think it is a good idea. I don't even eat dinner until after the park closes, so I don't need to worry about it. The only time I leave and re-enter is for lunch.

I don't believe they will cut off all access to the park after the times listed. Regular tickets and/or season passes might still be admitted (for first entry) after those times, I'll have to check on that to be sure though.

Despite it being later in the day after 7pm or 9pm on Sat and Fri, respectively, I can see quite a few problems popping up. Since it is Fall, there's a high potential for it getting cold(er) in the evenings. Many people who don't want to carry a jacket or sweatshirt with them all day and also don't want to pay for a locker might want to head to their cars in the evening to get their warm attire, and would be unpleasently surprised that they wouldn't be able to do that and also get back in the park. This would be more true on Saturdays then Fridays as, by 9pm on Friday, you would probably already have a jacket at that time if you needed one.

This would also be bad for anyone needing any medicine that they might have left in their car and would need to acquire after 7pm Sat or 9pm Fri.

I'm glad that *I* know about these rules ahead of time and will plan accordingly. However, I feel sorry for those who do not know about these rules now and will eventually be affected by them come Fright Fest.

no big deal its easy to get back in if you have a season pass. use it once to enter then leave simply show it again to get back in

You can't do that, the pass will only scan once per day.

You can put the Worlds Largest Sign people still will not read it and still people will complain.

Also if anyone would like file complaint about this new policy you can email Six Flags Guest Relations at GuestRelations@sftp.com or you may call the park at (847) 249-1776 x4625 or stop by the Guest Relations office when you are at the park. I suggest anyone who does not like this policy to complain. More people who complain and more likely they will pull the plug on the whole idea.

Personally, I like this new addition of no re-entry after a certain time, just as long as it doesn't get as far as it being the whole day. I don't mind and will not complain, I might actually compliment them on this decision, it will help crowd control and keep those unwanted people out.

Also, you are allowed to enter after this time if you have not entered for your first time, but if you are re-entering, they will deny you access.
