^I doubt it. If they were going to open it it'd be under Hellovator and since they said it was due to low capacity that could be regualy GD or hellovator so it probably wont be open.
Since STT is having problems, does any one know if they will still put the big gorilla on top of the tower?
Wow, it's been a while since I have posted here.

I agree. One time when I went they only had three vehicles operating allowing only up to 12 per ride cycle. When it originally would take us 10 minutes we waited up to 55. I don't think the ride should even be open in that condition.

Today 9/27, the Sky Trek Tower was not at the top, so it appears its either working, or they hand cranked it down in. This is more than likely to get the big gorilla up there this week.
Just wanted to remind everyone that I will be at the park Sunday, October 1st. I will be taking lots of pictures of all the stuff set up already and get them up on my website fast so everyone can view them in time for the 7th.
If you're like me, you're probably drooling wondering how the place looks. If not, then at least I am.

PS - I will post the link to my website in the forum thread "Corp buyouts"

After passing by again tonite after work, STT was back at the top, but now the Orange Fright Fest Flag was up. No gorilla tho.
It was really windy today, maybe that’s why the gorilla wasn’t put up.. Hand crank HA HA HA... I don’t think that’s possible nor would anyone want to do that.

Actually, it is possible. From what I hear, it takes hours, but if its not working properly, that's how they have to get it up or down when needed.
Hand Crank that was a good one, Its a 330 foot tall ride, its not a beach umbrella, I dont know crap about rides and coasters and that stuff, but I knew there was no logical way to have a hand crank on STT.

I think you heard wrong. There is not a hand crank at STT. If there was it would be impossible to winch it all the way up. Tell the DipN'Dots guy he is wrong!!!
I believe that STT works, it will go up and down, but last I heard that it was making lots of noise and they found out some part is wearing out so that’s why they do not want to run it, till they get the parts and fix it.
Kind of a weird one, just passed by SFGA on 94, and the three small spiders on the Eagle were all deflated. When I passed by around noon going South, they were fine. Coming back North at 3pm, they were ALL deflated. Seemed to me to be vandalism, but I could be wrong. Just seemed strange all the small ones were down at the same time in a few hour time period.

All spiders were just fine on Sunday. Must not of been vandalism.
The big gorilla was going up this morning. While I was passing by at 9am, they had him up there, deflated obviously, and I could see a few workers putting him in place.
STT does not have a hand crank. Last I heard - from a park mechanic - is that there is two lift motors and a couter weight system that allows the ride to opporate. Currently one of the electric motors is burt out, so the ride can still go up and down, but for safty reasons they are not opporating it. He didn't know when it would be fixed.
