A couple of years ago, before Big Chief's name was changed to Mount Olympus, there used to be two parts to the amusement park. What is now Mount Olympus was Big Chief "2" and Big Chief "1" was somewhat of a ghost town down the road. It had quite a few go-kart tracks, some of which were pretty cool. Unfortunately, many people didn't realize that it was there. My question is, what happened to this place? I'm not sure if it's still there and just under new management because unfortunantly I can't remember exactly where it was. So does anybody know?
It is a few streets down from the actual Mount Olympus, down some side roads. Unfortunately it is not under new management or anything. Almost all of the go kart tracks are in tact with weeds and grass engulfing them.
No, that park is not open, nor will does Nick Leskaris (park co-owner) ever plan on opening it again. He has said in the past that he believes it is much better to put focus on one property than to divide ones attention onto two different ones spreadout from each other. Hence, unless he changes his mind, which I don't see happening, don't ever expect that to re-open.

Thats somewhat sad. They should sell it and give somebody else the chance to operate it. It wasn't the greatest, but somebody could turn it into something.
Last summer I drove by Big Chiefs 1 and all the tracks were torn down. The cars and tracks were sitting in piles. All that was there was the parking lot. I didnt drive by this summer to see what it looks like.
Yeah the last time I drove by the tracks were still up, at least parts of them. I didnt see it lately, but I do honestly believe someone could turn that land into a profitable attraction. The Dells are always adding new attractions all over, sometimes replacing attractions. So they should just use that land for a new attraction.
I remeber going there! There were 2 really cool go kart tracks there, that didnt have anything special, but I just remeber one of my favorites was there when i was like 10. To bad too, oh well, its not that big of a deal.
I thought that park had a roller coaster over there to. Is that the place that had some sort of submarines that would launch balls at other people? This reminds of the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disneyquest if you ever went, but in water.

Well, I have the brochure/map of this place in it's last year (or at least the last time it was mentioned) and it had no coasters at the time. Also, that tank think you we're talking about was at Indiana Beach. They removed it this year for Splash Battle, however, there very well might have been one there as well, I don't really remember.
