Rides or Scare

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Considering Fright Fest is coming up, what do you like better during this time of year? Do you really like the Haunted part more, or the rides better? What percentage of each?

For me, I really like the rides better than the Haunted areas? Necropolis can be quite boring for me, but I do like the decorations such as the talking Skeletons :D, the skeleton band playing, and the shows once and awhile.

I'm on the 70% rides, and 30% scare. What do you think?

it's not so much the scare or the rides. I love everything in general....I love the shows (duh, my username should tell you that). I love the theming around the park, like Area 51 and stuff, and I love the characters. While I do wuss out with the haunted houses (I walked through Maus last year w/ my eyes closed), i'll walk through the Necropolis. I prefer to go to SFGAm during Fright Fest than during the regular season....Halloween is my favorite holiday, and I love everything about fright fest.

For me, its definatley just being there. FF is the time of year when you can just walk around and hang out and go home satisfied without the rides. For me its 95% scare/ambiace and 5% rides
YEA!!!! THREE MONTHS TO GO!!!!!!!

I like the theming that they do have, but wish it had alot more scare than it does.
I have went into some of the haunted houses and they arent scary and not worth the extra money they make you pay. I cant wait till i go to FLA one of these years and see HHN or BGT for some real scary halloween entertainment.

I wish that they added interactive parts to more rides such as lasers guns on whizzer and have targets around the track (inrelation with area 51), but i would rather choose scare because you can only get acare once a year

Definitely the scares. I can go on the rides anytime, but Fright Fest is only during October. The goal is to go on every Halloween-themed ride, see every show, and go in every haunted area, no matter how cheesy some of it may be. :D

Fright Fest is all about frightfest to me, the rides are always good, but like said above, I can not ride anything all day and be happy still.

FF = Low employment and super long lines, So I enjoy walking around and having a good time much more then waiting in 3 hour lines when in june they are all walkons. We usually will get to the park by 9am, run to the first coaster, and get on as many as we can before the park gets packed in a few hours. By 2pm it is 2+ hour waits for everything it seems, atleast every time I have gone. I always go on Saturdays though, since fridays seem useless to drive 3 hours there and 3 hours back for a 5 hour trip in the park.
