I liked the photos that showed the cars!
Oh, and why is that water missing from under Demon's corkscrew now?

There's a thread about that somewhere, but the waterfall was rotting the rock away and corroding the track.

any relation to the water that looks like it should be under river rocker?

That water pond was filled up in 1996 only. Occasionally if there's a HEAVY rainstorm it will get SOME water but otherwise it is never filled.

It was also filled for at least part of '97, on June 28th, 1997 to be exact.

I Believe the water feature had to be altered when SWT opened, since they put a path under one of the corkscrews.
I'd rather be riding the Voyage

Wow that was awesome, we saw Rolling Thunder too. Did i see correctly in another picture of it on a different site that it went upside down. Sorry to go off topic there but back on again, Those were great pictures, SkyWhirl was in it, Tidal Wave looked like a cool ride, I wasn't at the park while that ride was there.
anyways good job.

No it was a bobsled, but there is a photo I have in a book about Chicago that captures the entire park, and from that view it looks like the Rolling Thunder lift goes with the Demon drop
I'd rather be riding the Voyage

I check out that book everytime I'm in Borders, it's called "Above Chicago" right? And it's the fourth to the last page?

yep, I've always wondered how long it took to get that shot, because STT is at the top, Power Dive is near its apex, etc.
I'd rather be riding the Voyage
