2007 - Wiggle’s World - Rumor - (9/5/06) The latest rumors from New Jersey are true, then SFGAm will also add a Wiggle’s World kiddie area for the preschoolers next year. Rumors suggest that these are all planned as rethemes of existing areas of the park and not entirely new construction, so anyone have a guess which kiddie area may be converted?
Oh boy, this is not going to sit well with some people if its true. Anywho, I would guess it would be LooneyTunes Forest (sorry Director Guy). The play area as you walk in to the right. The (can't think of the name) building that has the foam balls. The train, and good gentle rides makes it the likely canidate. I would guess that Spacely Sprockets would be to costly to remove from Camp Cartoon network and is still a very popular coaster for the kiddies.
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.
Well, if this does turn out to be true, my guess is that it won't replace anything. There is no way a man who is attempting to create better shows and family attractions at his amusement parks is going to let a vacant theator/space next to two successful children's sections go to waste. My guess is that the Wiggles show would be in the Wilderness Theatre with the rest of the theming/attractions being placed along the way from the rest of Yukon back to the theator.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
How long does six flags still have with cartoon network?
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
See I thought theyd retheme bugs bunny national park to the wiggles if in fact they werent to start entire new construction.
However I see an entire new[smaller] section possible for the future. If its family theyre shooting for, a new kid area may be the way to go while you still have the exisisting two others.
"The Wiggles" is a Children’s Band that plays Music. Recently they have their own TV Show that does run on the Disney Chanel in the US. Hit Entertainment is the company who is in charge of Licensing for "The Wiggles” So it is very possible for them to get such a themed land. The Only problem with Wiggles is it is not for Children but it’s for Toddlers. The people who watch Wiggles are Kids aged 1 2 and 3 years old. So, if they did put in the new section I would think they would not replace any of the kids sections but redo an area to make it into a Wiggles World Section.
^It just sounds like they are going to have an existing area, and make it completely Wiggles. You can say goodbye to Looney Tunes, or Cartoon Network. This isn't going to work!! It's as bad as Shapiro, and the no re-entry. He might read this, and try that again.
I betcha he is going to change the Looney Tunes area. There are some rides that can really be converted without doing much such as the Bees, Lodge, Play thing, and the Beetles. The other area would be really hard. So, if we aren't haven't a Looney Tunes area, why should there be Looney Tunes characters??
The only thing I can think of is that he is going to start naming other flats off of Looney Tunes characters such as Tweety's Highflyers (Big Easy Balloons). This would make some sense I guess?? I still don't think that these kids in the kids area are going to know what in the world the Wiggles are.

Why would you change the Looney Tunes area? With all of the merchandising that featured Bugs Bunny and other characters, and the influx of other Looney Tunes on the street, that would be a CRAZY idea.
What about Camp Cartoon Network. Those characters (other than Scooby) are far more irrelevant than the Looney Tunes. There is also a great stage area in the Wilderness Theater.
But even still, there are other areas that can accomodate this. You just have to think about it. Unused spaces abound.
And you guys have to get over Six Flags catering to teens. Its not going to happen anymore. We saw that is was not working. Six Flags will be catering to families, and Wiggles caters to young families. The big picture is that you get them young, and they keep coming back.
Big coasters are over. Get used to it. Its all about families.
To expand on what was said above the key is to get them young. With a Wiggles themed area you help build a progression. Wiggles are can take care of Toddlers, LTNP can take care of up to maybe 5-6 year olds, then CCN can take care of up to say about 12 as CCN has Sprocket Rocket and Mystrey Machine which some smaller kids do not like.
How about the stage area in the Mooseburger Cafe, A perfect setting for a themed in park resturant geared towards toddlers and little kids, Have these wiggles things on the stage, and market it as the "Wiggle's Cafe" or whatever, this way you can still have a resturant and you can market the hell out of the Wiggle's characters.
Where are you going to put breakfast with Bugs then? Isn't that where it is at? Wiggles and Looney Tunes doesn't seem right together. They would probably put the Wiggles where the Bugs Bunny show is now.
I researched one site, and it said that kids around 3, 4, and 6 were Wiggles fans. I think Looney Tunes is probably 5-10 for both areas with Spacely's being the higher ages. Then kids move on to the family flat rides, and some roller coasters. This is around 6th grade.
I don't see how the 3 and 4 year olds should get an area for them. The park thinks that they could just change the names, and some theming for kids to like this theming. They aren't the right age for these ride that the park has. Sponge bob is about the right age if they wanted to do that. The Wiggles doesn't seem to be. In other words, it doesn't seem to be there types of rides in my opinion.
Most parents are way too scared for toddler to go on a ride, and I don't trust them either. They are just learning to walk. They don't even to go to school yet at 3 or 4. Age 5 and up shows more maturity, and they can handle themselves better. The Wiggles is not going to work with those rides. People will still go on those rides at those ages 5-10, but they won't care about the Wiggles or know who they are. The toddlers will be shocked that it's not there types of rides, and the parents want to take them unless they can go on every ride with them.

Who said there has to be rides? Soft play areas, interactive water fountains, shows for toddlers, or very small, SLOW rides if at all. Are you familiar with Poohs Playful Spot at the Magic Kingdom?
One of the biggest complaints that guests have is that there is not enough to do for young kids, ages 3-7. This fills that gap. Parents make choices where to go based on how their kids will be entertained. If little 4 year old Joey is not entertained at Great America, why go?
It is another fact that MOTHERS make most of the entertainment or activity choices for the family. Mom is usually stuck with the little guys anyways. The park has a lot better chance to earn their business with this area than without it.

That is not true at all. My soon to be 3 year old is starting pre-school. My soon to be 5 year old daughter has been going to school since she was 3, and shows more maturity than must 6 year olds. My boy who is at the 36" height limit rides everything that he can. The Whizzer, Hometown Fun Machine, East River Crawler, name it at that height level, he's been on it, and loves it. If you can't trust the rides that were made for younger kids at an amusement park, you shouldn't be going.

^Yeah, it's not like the cool zone does much anyways, whenever I went under it this year the mist couldn't even reach me, and I wouldn't exactly call myself short.
For the Coke thing, it really depends on how much you are going to put there. You can maybe fit two rides in that area. You wouldn't be able to fit 5 or 6 in my opinion.
There are places in the park that are empty for one or two rides like that area. You could also put in a ride across from Orbit where there are flowers. There could be something where the water guy (Rainmaker) used to be in Southwest Territory if you wanted to. There have more places than that though. The problem is that there aren't enough workers for a lot more rides. On low staffing days, you know what it's like already. It's almost like we have too many rides in one park.
We already have a waterpark (carries 26 attractions), 38 family and thrill rides including water rides, and around 12 kids rides plus we have around 6 shows (Pictorium, Theatre Royale, Grand Music Hall, Animal Show in Southwest, and Karoke-if you call it).
There is also a Jazz dude in Orleans Place now, and some dude that is somtimes in Hometown Sqaure. Don't forget about the Hurricane Harbor person, or the person around the National Looney Tunes Park. We have so many darn workers at our park, and adding more rides is going to take a lot more money.
Adding rides should come at getting rid of some now. In my opinion, not every ride that we do have is needed, or popular and could be replaced. We probably have the most rides at one park in the whole chain. Of course, the park employs bathroom people, food people, store people, other cleaning people, rock people , landscape people, mechanics, parking people, security people, entrance ticket takers people, Guest Relation people, Supervisor people, and so on.
