Yea for some reason diving machines don't seem that appealing to me because it sort of only focus' on the first drop and the second feature, but i think that after the two Immelman's it will be boring.
This layout is just bizarre, why not have a helix to mimick how birds circle their prey. Busch Gardens gets an exclusive license and this is what the do with it? I don't even like Immelmans, they don't invert enough. they must be counting on the drop to lure people to ride.
Oooh. niiiice hehe...I like your mimicktry if thats even a word. The helix would be neat if it came straight off the lift...cause itd circle around and then dive straight down. Hmm.
gottastrata33 wrote:As I said, the trains are really interesting due to size and combining that with the floorless idea gives it a lil more credit. Hanging over the drop should be interesting seeing your feet will simply dangle unless you keep them back, however, it seems thats all it has goin for it.
Unless your very tall, you cant touch the floor anyways. But the bar in front of you should be nice being gone since its a giant viewing obstruction.

It has no flow in my opinion sadly.
My question to you is, have you ridden Shekria or Griffion? (Obviously, I have the answer to Griffion. If you havent ridden Shekria then you really cant say one way or another as to which ride is better/worse/whatever.

galvan who cares if ive ridden it or not. I didnt say either was better.
I said griffon seems to have no FLOW. I even stated in the very first post that it "packs a little more" just basing that off the 2nd inversion.....Goin by visual, it makes so many left turns...change in direction is nice is what im stating not whos better.
/\ What sane person pays attenion to which way you turn, when u turn, u turn its not like it really makes a drastic differnce, but I am so excited for this and I hoped it is well themed
How can you tell a ride is going to be good or not just by looking at some pictures. Unless your a rollercoaster designer, you cant really say anything about how lame or good a ride is going to be JUST by looking at a picture.
^ You do know that there is an animated POV right????
Well I think that you can tell pretty much how good this ride will be just from the animated POV, just as good as you could tell how good Sheikra is by watching a real POV. I hope you guys get that.

I can tell you why they don't appeal to people anymore, and that is because they rely too much on their uniqueness and not enough on their actual layout. When Oblivion first opened, just think about the fact that it was the only coaster to ever have a 90 degree drop, let alone, a farely high 90 degree drop into a dark tunnel. Then picture the look on people's faces when they realized how wide, but short the vehicles were. It was so unique that the ride didn't have to be necessarily good for people to like it. However, now, there are plenty of rides that have 90 degree AND MORE drops and the vehicles aren't unfamiliar so they have lost their luster. Hence the reasoning for the sudden interest in the rest of the layout and not just the drop.
