Saturday
At the hotel, we went down to the breakfast buffet, and were a bit suprised to find out that there was an ACE event going on at Holiday World and Beech Bend this weekend, so it was filled with Acers.
we got to Holiday World around 9:30. It was chilly out and rainy, and we had planned to go to the waterpark. We did the coasters in order, starting with a first thing in the morning with Raven. I liked this coaster, but i thought it was a bit short, my only complaint.
Next we headed over to Legend and rode it. I liked this one as well, it was fun.
We grabbed a few cups of the free pop, and headed back to Voyage. Let me just say AWESOME! This is one of my favorite coasters now. I love the air, and though it may sound stupid, i think my favorite part was the triple dip after the break run. It exceeded my expectations of being a kind of good coaster. While in the Thanksgiving area of the park, we went over to Gobbler Getaway, and i did my best all day....something in the 400s.
After this, we decided to go ride Liberty Launch....and waited for fifteen minutes for it. It wasn't as thrilling at it might seem.
We headed to the dining place in Christmas to eat afterwards, then for the rest of the day, we headed back and forth between the Raven, Legend, Voyage and Gobbler Getaway. We picked up a few souvineers, and took a night ride on Voyage......which was better than in the light.
I liked Holiday World....the people were so friendly and the park was very nice without the smoking and the swearing. It was a true family park.
Sunday:
sunday morning we headed to SFKK and got there by 10:50. It was fairly warm this day, and it made the trip there a bit better. The entertainment crew started their music, and their routine i'm assuming of getting the people hyped up, but it was a teeny bit dull....
After we got in, we did our first ride of the day as Hellavator. I like this tower better than Liberty Launch at HW.
Next we went to the Roadrunner Express. This mouse coaster was a nice little one. I liked the cars.
We then headed back to Chang, and rode it. I usually am not a huge fan of stand up coasters, but this one i liked. I didn't have a ton of head banging (since i'm only 5'1, and my head gets smashed between the restraint), and that made me happy.
Next it was over to T2, and let me say, i hated this one. It was way too rough for me....I really hated it.
Next was over to Thunder Run. I liked this one, but like the Raven, I thought it was a bit short. It was a bit bumpy too, but after going to Holiday World, I could deal with this.
Then we headed to Twisted Twins, where only the green side was open. We walked right on. I liked this coaster.....it was a nice little wooden one.
Being dorks, we headed over to the Roller Skater, and got our kiddie credit.....I thought it was a nice little coaster for kids....my brother would like it.
After lunch at the subway, we decided to go to the waterpark. The water was freezing, and i get very whiny when i am cold. We did two laps around the lazy river, and then layed on the chairs to let our suits dry. After looking through their waterpark store, we headed to change and leave the waterpark.
Afterwards, it was back to Chang for another ride.
After Chang, we decided to go back to the front and ride the Hanna Barbera simulator. Not knowing it beforehand, I realized that I had seen this show at Universal Studios eleven years ago. They had comfy chairs in their theater, and though it was very kiddy, which it was supposed to be, I liked the show.
While walking back to the rollercoasters in the back, we saw that last year's We Got The Beat is the big character show in SFKK. We watched for a few minutes, and headed back by Chang.
After what seemed like five or six more chang rides, another ride on T2 (
), and one more ride on Chang, it was time to head home.
SFKK wasn't the greatest park in the world, but it wasn't awful. That's all I have to say about that.
Monday:
Dan and I decided to go to SFGAm today, just because we could. We arrived at the park around 9:50, and headed to Raging Bull in the rain. We rode it twice, met up with a few friends, and headed over to Viper, where we rode that twice too.
Next was over to Eagle, where only red side was open. There was some kind of problem, and it was down for ten or fifteen minutes. We took a third row ride after waiting.
Next was over to Iron Wolf, where anything but the back row and the front row was almost a walk on. we walked right on.
After Iron Wolf, we saw Vu testing, and ran back to get in line. After navigating around several huge puddles, we rode in a B row ten minutes after we arrived in line (it opened at 11:42, i remember).
After Vu, we headed for a quick ride on Demon in the second to last row. After Demon, we headed to Whizzer, and took a quick ride in the back car.
We took a lunch break at gurnee mills, and goofed around in the arcade there for two hours, and went back to the park, where it was raining for what seemed to be the fourth or fifth time that day. We headed to superman, and it was a walk on in every row but the front. Shortest wait i've ever had for that ride.
After Superman, we went over by Cajun, and Dan and I waited for fifteen minutes for it open. I haven't ridden it a lot this season, so we figured " why not".
We headed over to Batman, and at this point in time, it began to pour. We decided since there was nothing else that would be open, to wait for a hour and a half to ride. by the time we got up front, we realized lots of other rides were operating, and we left the line to ride V2. When i got over there though, my head was pounding, and my allergies (hayfever allergies) were bugging the hell out of me, plus I had a stomach ache, so i decided not to ride.
After our friends ate at Angelos, we headed back to batman for a ride. we went to first aid to get me some headache relief medicine, and then we headed back into southwest territory. I watched my friends ride Viper and Raging Bull.
Time was drawing in, and I wasn't feeling any better, so my friend Dannie and I decided to go see the last showing of Tribute to the Stars. It was good, except for the super fans who wouldn't stop screaming at the performers. We bolted afterwards, hoping to get a final ride on Vu, but we were too late. We waited for people to get off Vu, and we left.
It was a good weekend, but if my allergies weren't bothering me, it would have been better. Thanks for reading.
