It's not the destination, it's the Voyage (and SFKK) 9-3,4

Let us know how your day at the park was.

Woo!
First of all, my appreciation goes to Chi-town and Galvin for recommending Route 41 (though I did deviate for a while, took Rt. 163 to Terre Haute since rt. 41 degrades to two lanes)

Sunday: Holiday World

Got to the park around 9:40. I decided to ride the coasters in order
Got the 2nd train of Raven, back row, went back in time to get the first train of the Legend, back row, or it didn't open until 10:50, I can't remember.
Headed over to the Voyage for a 30 minute back row wait. Cycled through all the coasters again, then rode Voyage twice more, then Legend, then Raven. Somewhere in there I experienced Gobbler getaway.

Raven: 3 Rides - met expectation.
The Legend: 3 Rides - greatly exceded expectations.
I read it did not live up to the hype, but it was great.
The Voyage: 6 Rides - exceded/met high expectations.
It can't fail expectations, the three >100 ft drops were not that great, but from the turnaround to station is furious. The back is extremely strong (aka rough, but I use euphamisms)

I rode all three front and back, and while they are all good in the back, they are all much better in front, of course this is just my opinion.

Monday: SFKK

Maybe 300 people there for the 11:00 opening, went first to Chang, back row, which wasn't that good. Got over to T2 to stay ahead of the 298 other people. T2 chugged along (the car I was in shook forwards and backwards)
Continued to Thunder Run, which is better than T2 and Chang. Isn't it the same as the Hurler? a pretty fun ride, we were probably the first ones on it (I say so because we had not seen it run, were the only ones in the station and one employee was actually sitting in the train)
Found Twisted Twins and rode 3 consecutive times by ourselves, there was another pair on the other track which made it quite fun. Rode it 5 times total and was satisfied.
Went for another ride on Thunder Run and Chang then went to the waterpark, Hurricane Bay.
Walk on at Tornado, and found out why. The water was near the freezing point which made me lose my breath. One lap on the Lazy River and we called it a day. (Greezed Lightning was not operating)

Totals:
Raven: 3
Legend:3
Voyage:6
GG:1

Chang:2
T2:1
Thunder Run:2
Twisted Twins:5
Tornado:1

And now for your viewing pleasure...

Voyage looks awesome.

T2 is the roughest coaster I've ever been on.
Somewhere in Florida a village is missing its idiot. He can be found in Washington D.C.

I was in front for T2, so I didn't notice the turbulance.
The Legend is a great coaster and don't let anyone tell you different. The crop is great and the helix is crazy in the backrow, and the final stretch is also amazing.
I may have been too hard on the Voyage's 2nd and 3rd hills, one thing I liked about them was they didn't stall at the top, they had enough speed to fly over the tops.

^Now see I didn't like the Legend, i felt it made way to many right hand turns and i got kind of dizzy. But then again, i never really completely agree with most people's opinions on rides, so what do I know. 8)

Oh, and i completely agree with you, all three coasters at Holiday World are better in the front row!

Sounds a lot like Avalanche, I hated sitting on the right on that one, kept getting slammed into the side, since ever turn is to the left... . cool design though, and great coaster.

For everyone who wasn't ridden the Voyage, and everyone that has, I highly recommend the themeparkreview.com video of the Voyage.
If you haven't ridden it, it gives you a taste of what everyone's talking about.
If you have ridden it, it's instant nostalgia.

My favorite part of the Voyage was right after the triple down when it just bobbed back and forth under the lift hill (from the triple down to the cross over)
