do you get annoyed when your friends don't know anything about roller coasters? i've tried to explain the differences between inverted and suspended coasters or even sitdown versus inverted but they just don't get it. can anyone else realate?
I get annoyed if they are confidentally wrong. But I was talking to a friend at work who didn't know Shockwave was gone and wanted to go on Superman: The Escape because he thought it was the tallest and fastest, but he willing accepted my corrections.
My cousins think that just because Wild Thing broke down once that it is unsafe and the park should take it out.
"There should be a B.O. squad that patrols the city like a "Smell Gestapo". To sniff 'em out, strip 'em down, and wash them with a big, soapy brush..."
"Why is nice bad? What kind of a sick society are we living in when nice is bad?"
Me and my cousin get annoyed when his friend says a girls hair got caught in the track of giant drop and it got torn off and he also says that revolution is more intense than raging bull even though he hasn't even been on it yet.

it lowers the nerd factor significantly, and when that goes down acceptance into normal society goes up
Yeah, I avoid it with non enthusiasts too unless they bring it up. My boyfriend probably still doesn't know some major things about coasters, but I don't get annoyed explaining them to him. He usually understands things. It's just when I say "B&M coaster" or something he'll get confused and nearly every time I have to explain to him what I'm talking about. Then I'll name a coaster that's in California or something and I have to explain what type it is and stuff... I just wish I could hear him talk about some coaster he wants to ride that's somewhere out there.
Well when I was at Holiday World...this kid who was in front of me waiting for Voyage to open.
And he was all, "My uncle has a private jet, so I've been to every theme park in the COUNTRY." "I've been on Dragster, the tallest fastest thing every built, NOTHING can beat that!!"
So I had to say it..."Cept Kingda Ka."
"What's Kingda Ka?" "Taller and faster than TTD. =]"
So I asked him another question.
"Have you ever been on Raging Bull."
"No."
"Well then, I don't think SFKK, PKI, and HW are all the theme parks in the country. Have nice day."
Then I boarded.

I so agree with you, I was standing in the exit line for V2 and these three girls were standing right next to each other and we're screaming so loud and they were right next to me, finally after 5 minutes I had to tell them to shut up because they were screaming so loud and gave me a headache.
Same thing happened on Batman and you know how tight Batman's exit it, it annoys the heck out of me than I get mad and cause myself to have a headache tryin to yell over them.
