Not a good Day August 13

Let us know how your day at the park was.
Postby HorseoftheDowrn on August 13th, 2006, 2:21 pm
Decided to go to six flags for a couple hours. We left at 8:45 and got there at 9:30, and there was a 5 minute to get through the parking. We got in 5 to 10 and went to batman, and people were in line all the way to the end of the sewer and waited 10 minutes for row 7. Next, we went to V2 and a 5 minute wait for front row. Next, we went to American Eagle Red and got a re-ride because there was no line. So next, we went to the bathroom and then went to Giant Drop. Ten minute wait. So we went to Raging Bull, we waited about 30 minutes for row 2 and when we got out of the house they opened all of the turnstyles. Then we got a funnel cake and the candy store and then went on the train to Iron Wolf. So we walked back towards the enterance and V2 had all turnstyles and Batman had to open the extra part of the line and Superman was full and all the way to the Bumper Cars so we left and went to White Castle and went home.

Ride list

American Eagle-2
Giant Drop-1
Raging Bull-1
Batman-1
V2-1
Train-1/2

That's a fun ride. We call it The Whizzer.

It was really crowded. We thought it might have been because people are getting in their last trips before school starts.

But did you notice the fright fest stuff already out? The fright fest banners are up, the mesmerizer poster it outside of the theater, and the best part is that the greed tomb in the Seven Sins Cementary is already completely set up. It just looks a little out of place.

^ Wow. That's weird.

Anyway, at least you kinda had an okay couple of hours.

They always start setting up sometime in August. It's not stupid.

^ Sorry, I've seriously never noticed that before... Maybe it's because I don't go very much in August during any season.

Well, I guess it's okay if it makes FF completely decorated for that first Friday in October. I'll be there...

Yeah, I think sometimes not even every single thing is up in time for FF, but they still put it up at some point. It takes time to do all of that which is why they start early. It's kinda cool seeing stuff early...

it was very crowded, i was there too. I think the park was fine, but the waterpark was awful...so many people not paying attention to where they're going, and stuff. I like the idea of not having a tube in castaway creek, it was good. we got few rides, but i still had a good time. Oh, and I loved the fright fest decorations on display.....they have new signs to show what will be in those areas, and i i love them!

At one point, Raging Bull's flash pass line was even nearing the picture booth.

It's good that sfgam is getting these crowds that they need but it really sucks for us.
