I assume most bring a small camera and keep it with them, but does anyone bring a more powerful camera and come mainly to shoot? I want to do it later this season but I'd like some tips from verterans, like where to shoot and what to shoot.
Well there's always the Demon Loop with Giant Drop In the middle, but If you take the Highway goin north you can get a good shot of AE Helix with DejaVu Towers, Giant Drop and I think I got a little bit Of RB. Also you can get an amzing shot of V2 from Yankee Clipper or Logger's run.
I really want to added photos of SFGAm to my library, but I either have to use my gianormous Nikon D70s or a Kodak point-and-shoot, and once you use Digital SLRs, you never go back. So I'm wondering if I should invest a few hours next time I go and just snap away.
Well, i'm not really a professional photographer, but i've taken a few pics at spots that are cool, you should try some of these locations....
-Columbia Carousel at night with the reflection on the pond
-Deja Vu from the line under the boomerang loop as it goes through
-Demon's corkscrew with the train going under it
-Raging Bull's first drop from Viper's line
-V2's back spike from the beginning of Yankee Clipper's Line
-Batman's turn from Mardi Gras
-King Chaos going face first towards the water
-Roaring Rapids from the bridge
-Superman close ups from the line and exit line
I found all of those to be my favorites.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
The steps of the lost and found is a good spot, because onetime when I was on them, in the distance I saw Demon's and Raging Bull's lifts, and both of their trains were synchronized and went down that little drop before the main drop at the same time. It would has been awsome if I got a picture of it, but I don't have a camera.
