Let us know how your day at the park was.

on my family vactation over the last week we made stops to silver dollar city and sfstl. my memory isn't so great so i don't remember the order i got to the rides and all that so i'll just list the rides i got to and give a review of how each of them were.

we went to silver dollar city first so i'll list the rides i hit there first.

i do remember we went on fire in the hole first. this is a dark ride with a storyline involving some bankrobbers setting some building on fire. the people on the train are the "firefighters" and the ride involves their little adventure. it was very well themed as a dark ride should be and features four drops which featured airtime galore. not really but there was some. overall a fun ride. oh yeah it does get you kinda wet.

after that was powder keg. this a LIM launched coaster which features lots of airtime but no inversions. not really much to say other that that but it's a great ride and very smooth. very fun, probably best of the day.

then i believe we went on american plunge. this is your standard log flume ride which features the boat going through some tunnels before climbing up the lift hill and dropping. not very long but fun, especially on a hot day.

this is where i start to forget the order so i'll just list the first rides that come to mind...one was Lost River of the Ozarks. This is a raft ride like roaring rapids but seemes significantly shorter and i didn't get nearly as wet as i do on roaring rapids. however, it is a fun ride and can be good to go on when it's hot.

we also went on Thunderation. This is your standard mine ride which is pretty fun and has some moments of brief airtime. however, the highlight of this ride would be the fact that it has 6 cars per train...but cars 3 and 5 both run backwards. i rode forwards once in car two and backward once in car 3. not the most exctiting ride but again still fun.

We also went on a Tom Sawyer themed balloon ride like big easy balloons... i forget the name right now. not really much to say about this ride, im sure you get the basic idea. however all the flat rides in this park took forever to load. when the rides ends they take forever before they let you off...then they give you a big speech about safety before letting you on. finally they take forever to get around to everyone to check the restraints. this got very frustrating.

another water ride we hit was called waterworks waterboggan. this is like a big water slide that fits up to 5 people on the innertube like boat. it gets you very soaked...and is a lot like the dinghy slides in rct2. fun if you're wearing a swimsuit.

next ride...flooded mine. another dark ride, but in this one you ride a boat that comes equipped with pistols, with which you shoot targets and earn "points". kind of like a game and a ride in one.

near the end of the day we went to the new area of the park called Grand Exposition which featured a variety of flat rides some of which i rode, and others of which i didn't.

there was the standard chairswing...not much to say but was a pretty fun ride. anyone above the age of 10 could kick the trees while riding which i thought was funny.

we also went on a swinging ship ride. again, fun, but not much else to say.

then there was another ride that was like those himalaya rides...but you sit in minipirate ship type things with little wheels on the bottom. this ride hurt quite a bit however.

The best ride in this section of the park was Electro-spin. it's like the disco rides in rct3. for those of you who don't know what that is, it's sort of like revolution but instead of hanging on a pole it goes back and forth on a track. right when we were about to get in line they closed it because someone got sick. i was mad but came back later, and wow it was open. we got in line and waited a couple cycles for our turn. soon we got on. but wait...it's barely started and it's slowing down...some other girl was starting to pass out so they quickly stopped the ride and sent us off. the ride then closed for the day. so i didn't get my full ride but what i did get of it was fun.

i may have forgotten some of the rides i went on but i dont think so. it was a very clean park with inexpensive food which was good. i'll post my six flags st. louis TR tomorrow.
