So we hit a little traffic on our drive there, and arrived at the park around 10:30. I was already dissapointed, because 2 of my friends didn't tag along with us, because of the heat. So it was a small gropup of three: me, my friend Nikki, and her mom (who we took with becuase she actually enjoys rides). I already realized that this was going to be an incredibly HOT day. I knew it would be extremely hot, but not this hot. So, Nikki and I rode Orbit while her Mom bought me a Lemonade. 5 min, wait, not a bad ride. Then, we went to SW Territory. The HH line scared the crap out of me... I thought it was Bull's line! I don't understand why people waste their time in that line for 2 hrs. when they could ride a few rides and then go to HH when it opens at 11. Anyway, we hit Viper, 20 min. wait for front row, since there was an employee putting people in specific rows. Next, we checked Bull's line, which was long, but not using switchbacks, so we decided to go for it. We made it all the way up the stairs, but then Nikki fainted from the heat, and fell back on all the people behind her. Luckily, we had some really nice people behind us, who gave up there waters to her and gave us a little battery-operated fan. She was okay to walk up the rest of the stairs and into the exit, where her Mom stayed with her, and I rode in row 7 with the nice lady and her 2 kids. Good ride, but I thought about Nikki the whole time. After I got off, we quickly made our way to First Aid, where I waited for them for an hour! (I hate walking through the park and going on rides by myself). One of the employees there was really nice and gave me a free popsicle, though. I also noticed that there were 5 people in First Aid who had fainted, and there were 3 Medics sent out to different rides for the same reason. After Nikki got out, she promised her Mom and I that she was fine, so we went to AE. 2 min, wait for blue side (we won!). Fun ride... I think I like Blue better than Red. Since the line was so short, we went again, this time on Red, which is really rough. Walk-on! Yay! I noticed that IW was a walk on, so as much as I hate this ride, I agreed to go. We'd wasted an hour, so I had to make it up with an hour of walk-ons. Terrible ride though, just ROUGH! Gave me a big headache. Even more than I remember it being. So, we walked to KC, which was a walk on, also. Great ride, I think it did an extra flip. But then, we got off and Nikki threw up. I felt so bad for her. She said it was from some stuff they made her drink at First Aid. So, we ate some lunch at Bayou Grill (Nikki had a fruit cup). Then it was about 3:00, so we went to HH. It was totally PACKED! The line for Tornado was 2 hrs. long. Are people crazy? Either way, we were really hot, so we went on the Lazy River 3 times in a row. Then we went to the wave pool, which I'd never been in. I found out that it sucked, so we went to Skull Island for a while. Even the slides here had 10-30 min. waits! So we just got splashed, and then went on the Lazy River 2 more times. It was now 5:00, and Nikki didn't feel good, so we left. It was a miserable day!
That totally blows! i know the feeling though. Yesterday I went to Noah's Ark with a group of people and first ride we went on was Dark Voyage, while waiting in line our frined Katie fainted from the heat. the people all around us were complete idiots too, when we asked for a life guard they sat there and looked at us like we were paint drying on a wall. oh well that stinks that you had a bad day, hopefully next time will be better.
i almost fainted on sunday when i was there...it was really hot. I don't know why people would wait for tornado for two hours....unless they've never ridden it before. Luckily you encountered some nice people when your friend passed out, not everyone is that nice.....lol. Sorry your day sucked, hope the next trip is better for you.
^ I wasn't even the one having the worst time. I was miserable from the heat, too, but I can only imagine how crappy my friend must have felt. What upset me the most, though, was that most of the rides were walk-ons, but I only got on a few of them! It's okay, though, I do have a season pass, but the hour drive there is a pain... Oh well.
"And that farm girl walked off with slippers off a dead woman? She must have been raised in a barn!" ~Wicked, an excellent musical
I think I stole your luck.
I worked until 2, and my friend and I got to the park at 3:30, walked on Demon, 10 min wait for Raging Bull, followed a counter clockwise route around the park.
Got a triple then a double BK Stacker, delicious.
From about 6-7 all water rides. At the top of the Logger's Run lift, my friend gave an employee a dollar, which was worth the reaction, shock followed by doubt (she checked to make sure it wasn't play money)
I realized Iron Wolf is my favorite coaster, back row is phenomenal!
Basically after lunch it was clockwise.

ragingbullchick wrote:^ Yeah, I saw that most of the rides were walk-ons or had very little waits. We just sat around all day, so that's what kept us off most of the rides.
Sorry to hear that, yea alot of the rides were walk-ons....
To bad about your friend at least you get to ride some of the rides so it wasnt that bad of a day for you at all besides what do you expect its a really hot day the water parks gonna be packed and your suppossed to drink lots of liquids and take a couple of breaks because of the hot weather. Oh well theres still more days to go until the season ends so you can still have a GOOD DAY next time you visit.
