On july 20 all flights out of Ohare were delayed for hours. Ours was scheduled for 5 05pm & quite oddly our flight to cleaveland was the only flight departing at that time....odd. It was packed at Ohare due to everyone having no where to go...however we arrived in Ohio at 7 10roughly their time[an hour later]. everyone on flight 5896 had no luggage and it was all lost. It turned out that everyones baggage was sent around somewhere else

We arrived at Sandcastle suites around 9 00pm. on thursday night. We were given a room in the "corkscrew wing" and given our 9 00am early park arrival card for friday. Outside our room was Magnums turnaround and it was quite loud but I enjoyed that.

I woke up at 8 and had some Mcdonalds breakfast on the balcony after getting ready, and boy was I ready. I have put in alot of great expectations over the years as to how great these coasters may be, so I was definatley excited but I was scared Id end up disappointed like SFMM left me. So after everyone was all set around 8 45 we began our walk to the wicked twister entrance. The walk along the lake is a little long of a trip to the park seeing we were at the point of the park but enjoyable as well.
once we entered my friend and I decided to head our seperate ways from his family so we could run to Millenium Force. I thought the run would be far but it turned right up in a short distance to my suprise. I set high expectations for this coaster and like I said was scared to be disappointed but I told myself its been voted best steel coaster in the world for many years now so I was content with that.
The line was only a mere 10/15min. wait due to it only being 9 00. When we were in the station I told myself wow I cant beleive Im doin this, Ive waited so long...then the yellow train pulled forward and I buckled in. Then they closed my restraint for me and told me have an awsome ride, they did this quite often throughout the day to be honest. This was absolute satisfaction already. I love how polite and awsome the employees are there, they really interact and comfort their riders...thats cool.
So we made our way up and the view of the lake and the park were great and I couldnt grasp how fast of a lift we were on. that cable lift really gets you goin...The first drop was amazing. I love how steep and fast it goes. It was bone rattling, I was trembling inside due to the speed. The entire ride was blistering quick, and reminded alot of Batman. It does so many elements in such a quick spurt of time and it leaves you in that whoa! state of mind. However I was only disappointed to the amount of air I experienced. I was told over and over that milleniums filled with air. Especially on the 182ft tall hill. I didnt feel much, only a little. the last hill was nice though...I must say its a very well done ride. Id love for one to come here, but for $25million Id hold on that.

Next we headed tword raptor. We waited and them found we were in no line at all[haha] and Raptor was down. I looked back and at 9 30 about, The GP came running in....IT WAS ONLY 9 30! ....so we ran as fast as we could through the huge crowd of bursting people to Topthrill dragster, my dream coaster.

I decided to head tword back row and we only waited ten min. once boarding actually began. I sat down set myself in and adrenaline really took place. I was actually scared. Then dragster did whats its famous for...it broke down. haha...they released us and sent us back in the que. After ony a few nice minutes of asking everyone what states were all from, they let us back on. We rolled forward and I was trembling. I was far too excited. I absolutley love when the automated man goes "ARE YOU READY FOR TOPTHRILL DRAGSTER!?" we cocked back right after that, engines "reving" and yellow yellow GREEN. the launch was instant gratification. All seemed to go in slow motion for a milisecond or somethin, I was in awe. I dropped back and pressed so hard into the seat that my mouth just blew open and filled with air like I was kirby or somethin...The view goin up looks so strange like its never ending. I flew to the right, we went over the top and wow...incredible. absolutley amazing how tall it really is. But as we know, with a mere second there was nowhere to go but down. I loved the drop...unbeleiveable....and thank you everyone for the hands up advice...I did so hehe...headin in to the brake run I spazzed. I threw my arms up goin yeah...OMG...woo hoo ..yes....just screaming with absolute satisfaction and delight. This coaster is by far too quick but insanley great and my new favorite coaster.
I got my strata

after doin the big ones first we headed tword the rest of the back hittin corkscrew, then Magnum Gemini Mean streak and Raptor. The park was decently full meaning it was pleasant and not as crowded as I have heard. The longest ride lines were Millenium and Dragsters at night for a 1 1/2hr. wait. not bad honestly....We didnt hit up Dis.Transport, Wicked twister, blue streak, IronDragon, Mantis or CCmine ride until the next day on Saturday.
Saturday the park was higher capacity than the day before by alot. It rained with really high winds yesterday too yet they still ran the rides. all but TTD...[?] I mean it was pouring though. Really bad. Skyhawk in the rain Was well worth it though. I like these screamin swings. SKYHAWK had you goin high though. Dries me off too at a nice 60mph hehe....MaXair was a great flat as well...far far better than Revy sadly. Just didnt compare.
Heres a rundown of the coasters on how I felt twords them...this TR is gettin a lil long so Im gonna do it this way...
Wicked twister- In my opinion I like that WT gives all riders a twist but I miss the hold on V2. I decides to head for mid back so we get plenty of spin in the back, but we received a 90twist only on the front sadly. The launch didnt feel as powerful even though its faster than V2 but it was still a great ride. It also felt almost too smooth that it felt unreal. I dont kn ow its hard to describe. I definatley liked it though.
Mantis- A great smooth standup coaster, with a great mix of elements but not far as well done as my dear wolfie. The drop was really good including the mid twist before the MCBR which provided a nice pop of air.
Raptor- This was a good coaster with a good mix of elements as well. With Batman, its bamBAM bam and fun, but Raptor was just rambunctious. The ending was actually incredible. It was done fast and the turn into the brakes was quite a jerk that just really suprised you. The ride was fast and huge, and really riggidy.
Mean streak- Too shaky. Almost as if I was being pounded...I kind of wanyed it to end much sooner than it did. The huge banner across it states its one of the top 10 wooden coasters inn the world and i dont see how...a lil disapointed.
Disater transport Quick ride, too long of a line. Suprising and expected all in one. A good indoor coaster that I wouldnt mind our park getting. It makes great for a good family interaction. I didnt like that we were not checked before leaving the station. What if someone didnt pull their restraint down? Its the only ride I felt disappointment tword safety...but its all good. Nice ride actually....
Magnum-I was expecting much from this guy at all, and was i thrown...literally. The hills are so sharp and bumpy, that you just fly the entire time and when you reach the bottom of each hill youre pounded down. I felt like I was getting beat up and It was far too enjoyable...amazing coaster.
Iron dragon/ Cedar creek- Not too exciting coasters but they left you with great view oppurtunitys of certain parts of the park. nice family attractions.
Gemini- Not that great but nearly equal to eagle. The hills felt better however. There was a neat lil feature I liked and that was bein able to touch the "opponets" hands as you go by them...quite interesting.
Blue streak- this old timer really was impressive. A classical ruggudy coaster. very bouncy and filled with air. An enjoyable smaller coaster.
Corkscrew- its setting over the midway makes a great imptession, looks very nice. the hill before the loop was suprising and the most enjoyable element of the ride.
OVERALL Ceadrpoint is a wonderful park. The emomployees are very respectful, nice and generous. Capacity and maintenance is well handled, the park has nice settings and landscaping, well taken care of grounds, and something for everyone. This is my favorite park. Its very well handled and nice. I am actually hoping to get a job there next summer and stay in Ohio...I enjoyed the overall experience that much that Id love and enjoy to contribute more to it.
thanks for readin....
