A floorless is POINTLESS. We have Batman the only difference would be you are above the track instead of hanging below, and the floorless would probably we 50 feet taller. We need a Intamin Rocket not a floorless. And if you say it would be too much like V2, just look at Cedar Point.

Until the rocket coaster becomes a reliable and proven concept, why should SFGAm invest in one of these? Its the same as DV. SF took a gamble with it, and now its nothing but problems. I dont foresee any companies like CF or Paramount investing in one of these.A floorless is not like an inverted. You can make the case for alot of different coasters being alike if you look at it like you stated.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
Coasterguy, I can think of numerous parks that have an inverted and a floorless, or a SLC and a floorless. SFWoA, SFNE, and SFGAdv are all parks like that that I have been to. SFGAdv has Batman The Ride and Medusa and there is high ridership on both rides. It's not pointless... they offer two totally different types of rides.
Well, I also think a floorless would be a great addition to the park. The rocket coaster just needs to be perfected still I think. We know a floorless would be reliable. Custom would be preferred, I think we deserve something custom...
coasterguy wrote:Yea but you cannot just blame the parks for that. B&M is also responsible for it as well. Having the biggest, tallest, fastest roller coaster isn't B&M style.
"Biggest and tallest" = Same thing why did you say it twice?B&M will build whatever the park asks them too. So its stupid to say it isn't B&M's style. B&M's style is smooth, reliable and expensive. The last reason being why parks probably haven't contacted B&M to build the tallest ride in the world. Instead they have been going to the cheaper and less expensive designers like Intamin. Also have you ridden a floorless coasterguy? (using your "Have you ridden TTD line?" we get the point you have rode it and it changed your mind. Thats your opinion.) Floorless coasters and Inverted coasters are nothing alike. You would find more similarities comparing Raging Bull and a Floorless then Batman and a floorless.
coasterguy. If I was in any hurry to get on TTD, I would have made my coaster trip with my daughter to include Cedar Point. I can wait for the hype to die down and the ride to become more reliable. You think because you have been on it that we should keep our mouths shut until we ride it and not mention any other type of coaster available? I could hop in my car tomorrow and take a spin on TTD (if its operating), but I choose not to.I absolutely enjoyed my coaster trip last week consisting of PKI, SFKK, and HW. I wasnt thinking of TTD at all.Oh, and I hope SFGAm installs a floorless.

Did you manage a ride in the front for the floorless effect, and then a ride in the back for the air? I ride it in the back like RB with my hands up and my bar loose, and in the front it's all about the inversions and "not touching the track!"
Riding in the front row of floorlesses I don't even notice track. Sitting on the edge seats, you're more over the ground than track, it's more like flying than Superman that way. You know, I havn't ridden a B&M in a middle seat in over 5 years, I bet. (The only time I remember riding in the middle in the recent past is opening day 2002 on Deja Vu.) I absolutly refuse to ride in the middle (well, I just wanted the shortest line for Deja Vu. ) But next time I come accross a floorless, I might try it in front seat, to see how good the footchopper effect really is.
When you are going up and the track looks like it is going to come in on you, it gets really scary. I know what you're saying about being on the sides though. You can see so much more. But since I have been on BKF a crapload of times... I have managed rides everywhere.
I haven't had a chance to manage a ride in the front on a floorless coaster yet. BKF is my only floorless and it was awesome! Ill be riding Scream! on Sunday and will try for a front row seat for sure!
just wondering....there are always talks about floorless coasters....what has happened to the good 'ol sit down? i mean, the Hulk is one of the best coasters around, even if it is "only" a sit down. i really enjoyed the ride, but it seems B&M has abandoned the sit down train in favor of the floorless.....
Have a good time Dave. I loved TTD but I really dont care if we get a rocket coaster. I would like it if a floorless was installed but Im getting sick of B&Ms. They keep buying B&Ms because they have a good friendship with them because GAm gave them their start. If Wintrode wants variety then he should also stop buying B&Ms for a while.
