Well that's certianly a dissapointment. Both water coasters I've been on sucked. At least a looping coaster could've been cool. All I hope is that you're wrong.
Water coaster is a good bet since they took one out for this, and also because its in that area of the park where you can get by with only wearing a swimsuit...
Just a quick thought, do any of you think that the new coaster may be themed after the old western show maverick? Also with the quote: "The path always taken is not necessarily the best." is that a famous quote from the TV series?
So if you are indeed refering to that quote....look at this way.
Their path has always been to "stardom" to be the tallest and fastest of any genre of coaster or any coaster ever. So that path isnt really the best seeing they always have problems in the beginning.
So....the path they take now is not a record holder but a simple design? That puzzles me only because of what were used to with CEDAR FAIR[or point] so maybe thats it.
A water coaster is now my bet but as to why its tan and red gives another puzzle. Red gives a sense of agression in my opinion. Could it be "fierce" or tame. Red doesnt fit a water coaster to me, but thats just me too. No one has to agree im simply stating. Wouldnt they want a blend into water at some point? if not thats fine be different but it only seems usual.
My ball coaster theory may have been way of track but that just throws in more puzzlement my way as to that it really may be something weve never seen or heard of, somethin' new. Yet then that throws the quote andrew stated and I brought up.
So is the path for title of tallest and fastest over? Is this the beginning of simple individuality with new ideas for coasters? Well see.
Were all puzzled. Some ideas are great though. But we all know we dont really know, hehe.....

Well since you asked...
With SFMM the way it is and SFGAdv having received 9 coasters since 1996, I see Six Flags getting something big by 2008, even with a changed focus by the company.
What is big? I'll explain what wasn't big? 2004 with Ragin' Cajun and Mardi Gras and 2006 with Tornado.
2005 was big (HH)
2003 somewhat (S:UF)
2001 was big (V2 and Deja Vu)
So even with a changed target customer, I see SFGAm getting something big by 2008. And I think Six Flags will push to make SFGAm a/the key park of the chain (it's getting close already)
