It's a Boring Vekoma

Talk about anything that has to do with the amusement park industry here.

I finally got to ride the 100 million dollar ride named Expedition Everest. This ride is really slow, and boring. It even stops to change tracks. The scariest part of the ride is seeing the Yeti on the wall. That's sad! This is not the animatronic one, but the lit one. I enjoy Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Space Mountain a million times better than this ride. The line wasn't even that long even though the park was pretty packed. I say that it was 40 minutes according the sign. It should be like an hour and a half instead. In my opinion, the best ride at the Animal Kingdom is still Dinosaur!!! :D

Vekoma in my opinion makes really good junior coasters like Woodstock express and SSR. Those are the best Vekomas.

I personally feel that Expedition Everest was an amazing coaster. The backwards drop out into the open was an amazing feeling. The ride was not as slow as it is being decsribed. I was lucky to ride it during one of the very soft openings. I got to the park right as it opened and got in line right away for EE, and the wait was boaut 30 minutse there. After we got off the ride, the line for the ride had already topped one hour. And was not showing any signs of stopping. The entire park flocked to this ride right as the chains dropped adn the morning entrance show finished.

wow, i guess it matters who you ask about this ride. I have two friends who've rode it, and they both said it was great. Though you say it is boring, i still want to ride it.....oh....and i love Dinosaur down in Animal Kingdom.

I thought this was far from boring! No, it's not going to give you any huge thrills or major airtime, but it's a Disney ride. The theming and special effects are excellent!

Maybe you were just having a bad day or ride or something...I've ridden it in every row and EE is very intense during the backwards portion of the ride..no matter where you sit. Another plus is that the line moves very quickly.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

It's never really been billed as a Thrill Ride, best to look at it as a huge Roller Skater, all Disney rides are designed to be family friendly.

I just rode Everest last week....it was amazing. Very short, though. And Dinosaur? It's the same track as Inidanna Jones at Disneyland! And Indy has much better stuff on his ride.
