If your a musician, do you prefer sheet music or tabs or some other form of music? Why or why not? I personaly prefer sheet music just because its easier to see what kind of notes to play. I play drums so maybe thats just me. ON tabs, every 16th note is a dash, and when you hit or stroke something its represented by an X or B or S or somerhing and its all really confusing. What do you guys think?

I play drums also and only one of the songs i've learned was sheet music, and the other how ever many were tabs, that might be why I like tabs better. I also think that tabs are easier to read because like v2guy13 said, there are dashed 16th notes, so I think that makes it easier to tell how much time is in between each note, and just makes it easier to read...and tabs are free... :D

Being a pianist, I prefer sheet music.

As a very crappy guitar player, I like tabs because A: I cannot read music, and B: they are free.

But as a very observant music listener... I am fully capable of correcting the tabs that are very wrong... Thats why I wish I could use sheet music, I doubt sheet music is actually wrong.

There's some acronyms I've been taught to remember the notes when looking at the music.

Treble: E.lvis's G.uitar B.roke D.own F.riday (and of course FACE)

Bass: G.ood B.oys. D.o F.ine A.lways (I forgot what to do for the spaces inbetween for bass clef but they're ACEG)

The only thing that helps me remember bass clef is that the first space is A, then C, E, G.
