Zonga was a travelling coaster in Germany before it was purchased and sent to Six Flags Astroworld. From there it was at Six Flags Marine World. From what i have heard, It was a very rough ride. Oh well

Aren't most travelling coasters rough since some of them aren't really bolted down that good?

Oh just heard most traveling coasters aren't bolted down at all or that much for obvious reasons, so thats why I was guessing it would be rough because of that.

It was designed as lapbar only, when OTSR's were added after a few years of operation, lateral forces bang your head against it and it makes it seem rough.

Also Six Flags modifyed the coaster, it's no longer portable after they raised the loops. My guess they will try to operate it in a cooler climate, or send yet another Schwarzkopf (4'th this year) to the scrap heap.

I also heard that due to being a portable coaster it does not meet California's earthquake regulations!

Huh! What a waste of a move in my opinion. Can you imagine the General Public around Marine World. Here they just got this new coaster a couple of years ago, it never seems to work, and then it disappears for good. Their going to be so lost!

When I went to SFMW, I was impressed with it a lot. I didn't get to ride Zonga, because it was closed. Though whenever OTSR's get retrofitted into Schwarzkopf coasters, they are always unwelcome.

So, do you think they will trash that ride, or send it to another park for it to not operate again?? What would SFMW get to put something in it's place? Maybe, they might take something from SFMM??

^Don't know is SFMM would want to give something away except Flashback. And I don't know if Flashback can handle a move without refurbishment. I would guess Zonga could run again at a smaller park, somewhere up North where the temperature isn't as hot. SFDL or the Great Escape seem logical.

Would be to hot around here in the summer, that was the root of it's issues(houston also), in the hot sun the lift tires cant dissapate heat fast enough, and it works just like brake fade, onces the fin and the wheels get hot enough traction is lost and the train gets stranded up on the lift, and in the hot direct sun, it heats up fast.

Also with the tire lift it cant run in any sort of rain.
