It doesn't seem that great. It's a waterpark, and Wal-mart. It's not really Disney, I think. That should say Noah's Ark of the Illinoisville.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
FRD would be able to respond better to this. How are they going to fit all of that into the area of the abandoned casino lot? They want to build the biggest waterpark in Illinois, a bowling alley, strip malls, a skating rink, hotels, movie theaters, and off-track betting (<- just had to throw that in there).
Personally, their "plan B" should have been plan A to begin with. When this is done, Rosemont is going to be racking in the cash. Maybe they can call their new complex Mobsterland.
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.
Mayor Donald E. "Mob Connections, What Mob Connections?" Stephens always wants new tourism crap for Rosemont. He thought that he would get a new land based Casino, then he forgot that the other great crook of the north wanted one near Downtown Chicago.
My bet is that the project ends up delayed due to "funding issues", but there will at least be a new spot to hide stoolies for a while
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
I heard about the project. Seems okay, ill probably go once or twice, but i hope it doesnt make 294 even more of a longer back up on weekdays..

Yes this is true. The area by the proposed casino will have an indoor waterpark with a hotel called Grizzly Run. It will be the biggest indoor waterpark in the world I believe or country. Also there will be bowling, movie theatres and some shops and resturanuts. Its goin to look very nice when its done. The cost is around $500 million. I have pics of the waterpark artowork. Ill post them later.
And I have no idea how there fitting this. I tried firguring it out myself the other day when I went back there. Its going to be a tight fit.
Interesting! I think i'll just wait until something opens before i get excited over it though, I haven't really been trusting rosemont's "new ideas" lately.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Whoa that's gonna be huge with the waterslides actually inside there. ('Cause quite a few parks start the slide inside, have the twists, turns and drops of the slide outside, and end the slide back inside.)
