Six Flags Great America is definitely an awesome place to work...I worked rides last fall, and you'll have a blast and meet a TON of new people. As long as you stick to the rules and do what is asked of you it's a great job. I would definitely go back and am contemplating doing so this coming fall again.

Cedar Point as mentioned provides housing where you can live in and work at the park. I've spent LOTS of time looking into doing this and still want to. In fact my good friend Zach (coasterzak for those of you that remember) and I were supposed to do this last summer, but with college starting and everything we decided maybe it would be too stressful. At any rate I've only heard great things, and it sounds like a ton of fun. I'm still throwing around the idea of going out there for the last half of this summer.

If you're a college student, Disney offers something called the Disney College Program, where you can work at the WDW parks in Florida. Basically there are a couple ways to do it. You can either take a semester off of school and go down there to work in one of the parks, or you can do a summer program. With both of the programs Disney will put you in apartment style housing on the WDW grounds. There are 3 aspects. The learning experience, the earning experience, and the living experience. With the learning experience, you will actually take classes while you are there and (if your school accepts them) you will earn credits towards your major. With the earning experience you will obviously work (a lot) and will have a great time, networking and building relationships with Disney people. And then the living experience is a way to build friendships and have fun with your roommates and other people around the Disney parks (you get free admission). Overall this is an awesome program and be rest assured, having worked for Disney (a HUGE company recognized around the world) on your resume is a GREAT thing. I remember on my first ride on V2 the ride op launched us at like 5. I flipped out the first half but then got over it.
