Would NOT work. There is a fine line between a mis-catch and a retraction. It is supposed to catch on car 2 or 3, but in a retraction, the train is going too fast and catches on car 6 or 7. Then it is stuck there a few minutes. They have to lower it back down, release it, then reconnect as if it had miscaught.
If you lower the catch car, that would happen almost every time.
Why didn't Vekoma only have one part to make the train hook onto so the retraction on the second tower doesn't happen. The train would still go up the second tower either way, wouldn't it?? So, in other words, the catch car hooks onto the 6-7 row going up and down both towers instead of 2 and 3 altogehter.

V2 is not perfect either. It was down for maybe a month (I forgot.) I like V2, and I don't want that taken down either in case you are wondering. For one of the most popular rides in the park, you would sacrifice it for maybe a small flat ride?? The amount of times I rode it last year, I wouldn't call it a lawn ornament. I know DanHockey got 100 rides on it, and the season wasn't even over at that time. So, is it really a lawn ornament??
Would you rather a ride that is popular in the park that brakes down somewhat, or would rather have an unpopular ride that runs alot??
