And once again, it looks like previous health problems with the victim is to blame. I know it's too early to tell, but seriously, people need to wake up with this ride. If your not 100% healthy, don't ride it. However, I do feel sorry for the woman's family. Mixed emotions i guess.

Its an intense ride, millions of guests each year, you're bound to have deaths.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

8.6 million people who took the ride before Bamuwamye's death.

So, theoritically your chances of dying on Mission: Space are about 1 in 4.3 million.

But really, people need to start paying attention to the MANY signs Disney has posted everywhere before the queue, in the queue, and again before the ride. There are caution signs everywhere so I just can't think this is the park's fault.

This is NOT the parks fault.

People are stupid, enough said. They don't read signs, they don't pay attention. There are about 10 signs and several verbal warnings before you even sit in the damn seat! And even befor they strap you in there is another warning.

I feel bad for the families, but it is indeed the guests own fault. What rock are you living under that you have not heard about people with prior conditions being injured on this ride?

But none of this will deter me from riding it. It is one of the best rides that WDW has to offer. If you are healthy, you should not be afraid to ride.

I have to agree that the park is NOT at fault. Many people ignore the No Smoking signs in our Six Flags park and that's enough trouble. Maybe this woman had health problems and didn't know it. That's why there are warning signs posted at the front of every ride and they sort of used to scare me. But now I can virtually relax on them.

I haven't been to WDW since Mission: Space opened, but someone said it is sort of similar to Excalibur at SFSTL. I wanted to ride it when I was down there but I was too tired. Maybe next time.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.

Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."

^It actually shows you how the ride works while your waiting in line so that people know exactly what they are getting into. It's basically like a giant claw with each four person pod facing the middle and the claw spins fast enough where you feel pushed back in your seat and then slows down at a fast enough pace to simulate the loss of gravity.
